Hi,
Just wondering if anyone has encountered this kind of scenario - the cost of my item is pretty high, he's offered a good amount and paying for postage to the U.S. Strange part - that he said 'am willing to purchase your item for my lovely Adopted Daughter as a Genius Sparkling Gift, Actually she is currently studying in a Missionary College Overseas., i want the item sent to her Via Auspot etc. Then said send bank details to my email address.

it's a sad world when the word "kindly" is considered a warning sign of attempted scamming in online commerce, but it sure shows up in a lot of those messages...maybe eBay can add a filter in the messages section to block incoming messages using "kindly"

Walks into BestBuy....
"I'm interested in that big HD TV as a gift for my 4th cousin's niece who's battling cancer...it's a wedding present for him. It's priced at $2,000 but I hope you'll accept $2,500 cash. Kindly meet me in the dark alley out back next to the broken security camera, to get payment and to help me load it in the van. Oh, and if you bring some untraceable prepaid gift cards with you, I'll buy those too. The more the better."
Sounds silly when you try to apply the same scenario to an in store purchase.
Somehow not going through the checkout online sounds less outrageous that trying to but something at a B&M without going through the register. I'll never understand how it sounds reasonable, but time and time again someone posts on these boards that they've been scammed.
Glad that you asked about it before falling victim. Some don't.
