Re: Poor dead baby chicks

What a useless disaster this Postmater has caused. BHe needs to be removed if he does not comply with what he said he is going to do by retracting all of his USELESS, DESTRUCTIVE changes.

I cannot wait to see what happens at this hearing. I think Friday.

Re: Poor dead baby chicks

He didn't say he was retracting the changes regarding equipment - he said he was postponing the changes. For all we know, he could reinstate the equipment removals the week before Thanksgiving. He's certainly not restoring any of the equipment that has already been removed or disabled. Damage is done - and more is yet to come.

Welps, the stupid news page wants me to support them.

I don't think so.

I hope he has the drumming protesters outside his condo again this weekend.

The USPS is a spoke in the wheel of our economy and needs to be regarded as such with protections to prevent political shenanigans like this from happening again.

political shenanigans will continue on ALL  SIDES.

When all is said and done, many could be surprised who really is at fault with the slow down in the shipping process.

Agreed but summer shipping in a box with small holes punched in it is not going to end well.  Heck in Nor Cal the past few days my neighbors with gorgeous chicken coops have lost chicks from the heat.   Some of the blame is on folks who conceal animals, fruit etc in boxes to send media rate to save money.   My rural post office is wonderful and I feel bad for my carrier who takes alot of heat from a situation she has no control over.   I grew up in the snail mail era where we waited four to six weeks for catalog orders and survived....this culture of needing things instantly is ridiculous.

Re: Poor dead baby chicks

there was a story last night that hours after saying the changes were "put on hold," an email was sent to post offices telling them not to reinstall the sorting machines.  evidently two places went ahead and reinstalled them (somewhere in Texas and Tacoma, WA).  I'm sure this will come up in today's hearings.

Re: Poor dead baby chicks

He is not reinstalling these sorting machines for letters. His excuse now is that he is making way for more package processors. These machines that he is deactivating and selling for 100 bucks a piece were purchased for over hundred’s of thousands of dollars. He says he is removing mailboxes from rural areas becuase it is just routine to do that when mail volume decreases in those area etc etc.

This is what happens when you put an inexperienced person in charge of something. DeJoy has no experience (that I know of) with the USPS, especially at the ground level, where all the important stuff happens.

Politics doesn't have nearly as much to do with it. The hiring of a person unqualified for the job has everything to do with it...and if you think about it, that applies to many, many major businesses. Having an education on paper is useless if that paper knowledge doesn't transfer to real world applications.  (that said, I know nothing of DeJoy's educational attainments.)

The easier you are to offend the easier you are to control.
