Please list Bullet Points of What Ebay NEEDS to FIx About the New Listing Tool

I have been very vocal here about the new listing tool. It does not translate at all to a desktop experience and has been seriously hindering the listing process for full time sellers. We need relief from this phone app tool that has been jerry-rigged onto our computers......

Please list a few bullet points of what needs to be corrected to make this tool work for you as well as the classic tool did, so we can give ebay a simple- easy to understand list from a diverse variety of sellers.            Maybe then they will take their customers seriously...

I'll start:

1. Enter key does not do anything- it should represent "closure" or same as hitting a "done" button

2.Mobile app popups cover up main body of the listing so you cannot reference other sections while listing

3.Too many submenus and clicks to accomplish everything

4. features are all hidden to make it look "cleaner" instead of being readily available and functional

5 adding toggle on/off button to things just adds time and frustration- if i leave it blank- assume its off!

....I could go on and on but I want to hear from the rest of the ebay community of sellers so we can help them to understand what we need to be efficient and choose to list here

Slow (interminable) loading of picture edits......both firefox and Chrome

hate the popup edits........would much prefer all on one page...

have to go into a popup to select any condition other than new or used- adds time and clicks for no reason

I used to be able to keep up with their changes, but now I do not understand half of it, not that I am stupid I am 75 years old and a lot of this new stuff I just can not get in my head.  does anyone ever think about us old people?

What eBay needs to do about its new listing tool is to take two items you mention in your title and double-tap it.

After listing again today..... too much clicking in and out item specifics..... and when you change just the final sub category- everything gets erased even the brand.....example - going from motorcycle handlebar to motorcycle handlebar grips - loses every item specific you just put in- makes listing many slightly different items from the same motorcycle (99% of the item specifics are the same) take forever because you lose all your work every listing....... when only the part # would need to be changed.

How is this different from the old tool?

It lost all the item specifics when switching subcategories too, even if all the item specifics options were identical.

I have conducted many training glasses on many different subjects one common montra in ALL training was the basic KISS principle Keep It Simple Stupid. This new lisiting tool is anything but simple. It certainly appears this was designed for phone use yet I believe the listers of the majority of many items use a desk top computer to do the job. Hopefully ebay will recognize these problems and make corrections we can only hope. Maybe another training issue that would also be appropriate when asked what time is it do not tell the quetionaire how to build a watch.

Not sure what the issue is with 'pop ups' or 'slow pictures' as I have not encountered ANY of those issues. 

Yes, the listing (new listings) is new, and took probably 5 minutes to build the first one. After that, it gets much easier. 

This is with Edge and on a Laptop. I don't list using a phone.

The only problem I have with it now is

1.  IS's are not 'sticky' - sometimes I have to enter them twice.

2. User created categories on templates are not carried over to the new listing - they have to be recreated every single time.

3. Slow loading of the the listing form on initial listing and any revisions.

Beyond that, it's going fine.

All IS's have always dropped out when changing top categories - that hasn't changed.  It's why it's better to just change the category after entering the title to begin with.  Same with dopey IS's being populated from the title like "blue" as a character when one has "blue" as a colour in the title.  That hasn't changed nor been fixed.  Honestly, adults do not wear character clothing as a rule.

For some reason when listing with the new tool, I am getting a range of costs for shipping for each carrier. For example, Fed Ex ground 11.14-112.00. The old tool gave a closer range of the shipping cost.

I think (without actually testing this) that for Shipping methods with zone pricing, it's showing you the price range from the closest to the farthest, whereas the old one would only show you the price for shipping it to yourself (i.e. the home zone).

What they need to fix.

1) All of it. It is typical amateur programming that ebay crams down our throats.

-IS fields... too much troubleshooting

Character length and IS error message "...something missing in IS..."

If too many characters are entered into some IS fields an error message appears... but not until you hit the list button. No clue as to what is missing. And it is not always something MISSING. Each field must be examined to troubleshoot what is "missing." By process of elimination I figured out that fields have a maximum character length. The number of characters is not indicated on the fields. But after playing around with it and shortening the number of words in a field the item would list. Adding the character count would be helpful.

Sellers want to SEE their field entries at a glance to make quick changes or additions. Some IS fields require clicking the blue + AND the DONE button while others require clicking only the DONE button. Consistency throughout would be helpful.

Add a check box next to each IS field. Items checked will transfer to a newly selected category/subcategory.

I'm sure there are many more but who has time after clicking the night away. 😂 That's me laughing... oh wait, crying.
