I just had a buyer ask me how tall a figure was on my auction. It was stated in the Auction 2" Tall. People on E0bay do not read the descriptions!!!!!

It might help a little if ebay would place the description at the top of the description area of the page, like it used to be, instead of after 2 rows of other items for sale.

You have to fight a Black Bear named Carl to get near it. I will only accept Deutsche Marks and a sexy dance as payment. It smells like red Pez but tastes like yellow Pez.
That specific enough? I guess you don't want to sell your book jerk.
So was there any stains, rips, tears, writing, creases etc. ?

Yes and it seems to be getting worse. Probably why the increase in SNAD's.
Too many buyers just look at the title, the price, and maybe look at the pics. Then they hit BUY.

To be fair some categories are intense. If you stop to read the three pages of blah blah blah, don’t do this, do that to get to the one line of description the item will be sold.

Like the monster says she does. VF and no description then complains when asked questions.

Hey I’m “people”! I’m insulted. And I read things... even enough to know that the OP misspelled ebay as “E0bay”. I didn’t see anyone else here point that out. Boom!

Put the size in the title as well as in the description. That's what I do and never once have I had anyone ask me how big something is.

Man this problem is 100% an eBay problem. I sold a bit on Mercari and Etsy during the holidays and I never had any issues relating to whether or not a buyer knew how to read a freaking listing description. Not ONCE. And it wasn’t like I was getting these dream customers or something - believe me when I say EVERY site has something about it that can drive you stark raving mad. But I’m a 4th year Computer Science major and I remember still having to Google “where did the listing description go on the eBay app” after an update a year or so ago. If I have to do that, there’s no way mee-maw knows where in the heck it is.

My response: 2 inches as stated in the title and item description

Why are you summoning me to answer a question you know the answer to?

Why would you think I know the condition of your comic book ? I only am going by what you wrote. You berated your buyer for asking the condition of it. He wanted to know, and I am curious, if the comic book had stains, rips, tears, writing , creases etc .

Yes it's annoying that some people don't bother to read the listing description, yet they take the time to write a message for information that was clearly listed in the item description. Personally, I find it rather lazy that they won't take the time to read the listing for the same exact information, and more often that not don't buy it anyways. Nonetheless, I do respond with the information requested as I want to sell and if it helps them pull the trigger and make the purchase it's all good. It's only a minute of my time and even in a retail store people ask the same stupid questions. But the point is to make the sale. Sometimes I suspect that people want to know how responsive a seller is, and whether it's safe to purchase from them with all the scams that take place on eBay.

Sorry but I had to chime in on this one comment.
Is this what you are asking about?
American Flyer Trains Operating Car Pickup
because I read the entire title. It appears to be an "operating car pickup" for the American Flyer Trains.
(only it should be type as pick up)

Oh, do they ever. I can't even begin to tell you how many times customers at my job ask me how much something is when there is a price tag right there on the thing.
"Can you tell me how much this is?" ... there is a price tag right there that says $9.99, are you blind or just stupid?
