As mentioned, the $143.14 number doesn't include your shipping label.  That should be a separate entry on your financial summary page if you purchased it through ebay.  How much was your label?   You also had another fairly recent sale where another shipping label might come into play depending on your payout timing.

Payouts can be confusing...EBAY often combines different item in the same payout (difference could be shipping charge for another item??).

To find out where all the money went....go to ORDERS, ALL ORDERS (click on item & select ORDER DETAILS).  This will give an exact accounting of all deductions.

Other fees or expenses not related to that sale could have occurred around the same time.

You can look at the payments tab in your Seller Hub and click "all transactions."

All fees and expenses are shown there.

The order details shows the order earnings are $143.14 after all the fees, it doesn't state another deduction that would bring my payout down to $129.97

edit: also it couldn't have been a deduction from another item as all those deductions would have been applied to my last payout a month ago, and i haven't done any transactions until i sold this item

That is very weird.   I would contact EBAY customer service rep and see if they have an explanation.

Yeah that's why I suggested to look at the payments tab in your Seller Hub and click "all transactions."

It could be any number of things like shipping label adjustments, listing upgrades etc. but that's where you would find the answer (not under the order details for that one item.)

@prowx2100

The differences usually happen because you've shipped other orders that they money is still pending or held.

You can ALWAYS see the details on your Seller Hub.  The Payment Tab offers you all kinds of information.  Try the Summary.  There you can see what is on hold, pending and Available on the left.  On the right you can see the details of the current transactions in your account.  Further down on the screen there is lots of other information.

Also in the left rail there are report options.

I notice that you noted what the buyer paid for the shipping label BUT no make no mention of what YOU paid for the shipping label. That amount would have reduced your pay out.

Also do you understand that although the buyer paid !11.31 in sales tax that money is skimmed by eBay and you never see it so if does not figure into your payout.

If you really want to know your net profit - you need to have more info - e.g.  item acquisition cost, packaging materials, etc.

Here is an Excel spread sheet that I used when I was selling on eBay.  NOTE - selling fees  were  based on eBay fees and PayPal money  processing fees vs the single Managed Payment  fees of today - FYI PayPal MP fees  have increase since then.  If you know  Excel you can easily modify this  to updated eBay fees.  On packing materials, just averaged the prior years expenditures  and divided by # off  shipments and used that for the current year - more  accurate than a SWAG = Scientific Wild _  _ _Guess -  u fill in the blanks - don't want to be told by the monitors  to  go stand in the corner for using nasty words.  This '44 model  had to do it a few times in grade school (aka elementary school today) - oooh the humanity.

I found it, the payout deducted the shipping label from another sale i did after this item where the shipping label was $13.17 which was deducted from the $143.14 and i got a payout of $129.97. Took me a while to find because the eBay website can sometimes be a little confusing.

So you are talking about the Nintendo Switch?  Shipping on that was 7.49 as stated on the listing.

180.00  Item price

7.49  Shipping charged to the buyer

11.31  Sales tax paid by buyer

198.80  Total Paid by buyer

11.31  Less Buyer sales tax processed to their appropriate state

8.44 Less your actual cost to ship the item.

  26.87  Less Ebay Regular FVF

    9.99  Less Promoted Listing fee

  142.19  Net to seller

The difference in this amount above [142.19] and what was sent to you via your Payout is highly likely to be shipping charges on another one of your sales.  You can see the reason for the difference easily via the information I previously supplied to you in Post #7.

Take a peek and come back and let us know if it makes sense to you now or if you still have questions.
