Obviously that cannot be done here. If ebay tried to implement that most bnuyers would never make another purchase here.
But you can protect yourself. While with auctions you cannot do IMR, you can however set your blocks for those with 2 or more unpaid strikes.

@rander3127 What in the world are you selling that people are bidding on but not paying? UPIs are a rare thing ...

Just wondering if buyers are doing a double take on those shipping charges. Seller is in Canada so wonder if US buyers are changing their minds and buying US instead.

The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.
If your category has such an insanely high rate of nonpayment you should sell everything Fixed Price with Immediate Payment Required and protect yourself.

I wonder if they might be able to address that with the new system? Not for all buyers, but maybe for those who have shown to be problems. Maybe even temporary as a form of buyer restriction probation.

Shipping charges are all over the place. Most U.S. sellers don't know how to obtain the best shipping prices and charge too much anyway. But the whole point is, shipping charges for Americans are right in their FACE in the listings. They are just too stupid/lazy to look before bidding/buying.

So that is your excuse for charging these high shipping prices. That you cannot find the best shipping prices either.

But why the need to wait for that when sellers can just list fixed price immediate payment required.

That's one of the reasons why I stopped doing auctions years ago and just put immediate payment required on all of my listings. I didn't have time chasing buyers down for payment. Now I just get alot of buyers filing cancellation requests, haha.

Is there some barrier to entry for you there or...?
Use immediate payment if you can.

it's worth the risk. win some you lose some. if you're listing auctions, you're willing to lose some.
