I just sold 2 different items to the same buyer. Instead of "paid" or "ship" it says "payment total requested". I've never had this happen before. Why is this even possible when the prices and shipping charges are clearly listed? Other than send the buyer a email telling him to go ahead and check out, what am i supposed to do?

If you're in the seller hub, it's under orders>sold, select send invoice. If you can't find it on the old dash, try it here:
https://www.ebay.com/sh/ord/?filter=status:ALL_ORDERS
Here's the link for the old dash, see if that works, it still does for me.

I sent a combined updated invoice on Sunday. I always combine for customers, but I sell all sorts of stuff so do not allow ebay to even attempt to do the combining for me. I think that only works if you sell like items.

RE: Instead of "paid" or "ship" it says "payment total requested".
Usually, when you sell more than I- item to one buyer, all items will show up on one invoice. If this isn't happening, the buyer may request a total and you would comply with their request.
Also, even though your prices and shipping charges are clearly listed, you may also consider combined shipping of these items to your buyer. Of course, I don't get the impression from your comments, this is likely to happen.

Put everything in one box and it ships for $11.00.

I'm not sure i like this request total thing.
Here i am packing ebay orders tonight but i have 2 orders that i can't send because they are NOT PAID yet.
I require immediate payment on all my listings so i'm not used to seeing "not paid".

So, you'd rather not have multiple item sales to a single buyer? Interesting business strategy.

I have multiple items bought from a single buyer all the time, almost every day.
They are paid for, packed and shipped usually the same day. I don't have to wait for payment. I like that.
Get paid immediately vs. wait for payment. There's an interesting business strategy.

Message received today from the buyer: Is it ok if i pay you on Thursday?

No, you have lots of the same item sold to a buyer. What you are saying is that you don't want someone buying your candy, nuts, trinkets and doo-dads because you are too inconvenienced to send a revised invoice for sales consisting of different items.
I'm not knocking your business. I just think it's kind of interesting that you are complaining about getting a sale. Sorry if I ruffled any feathers.

@inhawaii Its an opportunity for you to pack the items up, determine the weight and cost for the Combined package, check the shipping cost from your place to the Buyers and put that amount on the Invoice and send it to them. They pay and you label and ship ...

There's one in every crowd.
Do you really think i'm complaining about getting a sale?
What i'm complaining about is waiting to get paid.
All of my listings are Immediate Payment Required, yet here i am waiting to get paid.

What i'm complaining about is waiting to get paid.
--Which is a byproduct of getting 2 sales that need combined.

--Because the buyer requested a combined invoice and that overrides your settings.
If you don't want this to happen, set up automatic shipping rules or go free shipping. Otherwise, there are going to be times when this is going to happen, regardless of your settings. Sometimes, we just have to go a little outside of our comfort zone. Best of luck to you.
