Hi,
I have been an ebay member since 2017... sold some items in the past two years. However, I'm discouraged to continue with you. For the past month I had a handful of scummy buyers who calim not to authrize the purchase (even though its clear as daylight they made the purchase). After getting bit a few times, I started cancelling any orders that doesnt comply to acknoweldge the purchase sent to them.
You need to force mandatory 2-factors authentications.
In any case, I'm done with you.

When these people open a dispute with their banks claiming they hadn't made a purchase they are merely wasting my time.
Wow ... 2 minutes to upload tracking (for your physical goods) ...that's a real day-wasted 😞
Not sure if you're being serious... wasting my time as in filing a dispute when they indeed made the purchase.
You have PayPal Seller Protection for UA chargebacks on physical goods sent to the address on the Order with online verifiable tracking.
Link ^^ up there ^^
It takes a whole 2 minutes to deal with them.
For digital goods, you are NOT covered by PayPal ... but buyers are.
On eBay, the sale of digitally delivered goods are restricted to Classified Ad format. You cannot list your XBox accounts in "Video Games".
I'm just trying to provide constructive feedback.
Had they implemented a verification approach, unauthroized claims would never occur in the first place.
Its quite easy to tell the legit buyers from the frauds with a simple protocol. This will immensely reduce the time needed to deal with these issues.

It's even less restrictive than that. For unauthorized use claims, only proof of shipping is needed - either online or physical. Tracking is not needed.
A paper receipt from the PO retail counter showing the zip code from the payment details is acceptable, as is tracking showing the same.

PayPal does Card Verification.
If you wish to avoid buyers that pay directly (not through PayPal) you can set your buyer preferences to block buyers without a PayPal Account.
My eBay>>Site Preferences>>Buyer Requirements
Dealing with UA on physical goods does not take that much time ... not at your volume of sales ... what is your actual ratio of sales to UA chargebacks?
You cannot cancel sales based on your own rules ... You will be penalized by eBay for doing so. That means ... no cancelling sales because the buyer has zero feedback or doesn't respond to your "verification challenge".
You are doing well so far, according to your Feedback. Don't shoot yourself in the foot.
Put your digital goods into the correct category and stop cancelling sales.

Just curious what reason you are choosing for canceling sales to new or no feedback buyers?

I apreciate the feedback.

I see sellers use this as a measure to conceal themselves from suspecious buyers.
When you have a sale from a newly created account it raises red flags, usually an account with a stollen credit card.

OR, a new person who just found out about eBay or did a Google search for their item which led them here. Do you really think discouraging new buyers is a good idea? I am still wondering what excuse you use to cancel the sale. Are you using out of stock? Buyer requested? Problem with address? None of these really apply, but you should be taking defects on all of these cancelations because they are not really appropriate until you have proof they are a scammer.

I do have proof, the fact that the ones who filed claims are of this nature. And yes, I have given these people a chance but it was the last straw that broke it for me.
And if ebay are the ones that given me the power to refuse to sell, like refusing the shipping destination, I have all the right to cancel the order.

Again, I am asking you a direct question. WHAT REASON DO YOU USE FOR CANCELING THEIR SALE?
You know what, you don't even have to answer. No matter what you are being dishonest. I am going to bet you are using the address or buyer requested by some twisted logic. Hopefully you are not long for being a seller, which I know you don't care about anyway. Good night.

I already answered your question. I have no reason to be dishonest. I wouldn't be here ranting in the first place. Go figure.
I just feel sad for the people needing to suffer. GN.

These are your replies to me since I asked. I don't see the answer. I also read your replies to others, and don't see the answer there either. Maybe I'm having trouble reading today. Was it before I asked?

To be completely honest with you, I'd care less.
I have my own platform in development right now (should be running in 2 months). I don't need eBay for my business.
yeah sure you do....

I do not remember what the 3 or 4 option is (the one related to the address), that's why I said shipping destination. That should be clear enough to understand, no ?
