Just noticed this when the eBay sold and PayPal payment received emails arrived for a sale.
This is an excerpt from the PayPal payment notification email. Note that the Shipping and handling amount is shown as zero, even though the buyer paid the correct $6.01 shipping amount and the total and amount paid are shown correctly.
And these guys are handling my money

I'm seeing the same "glitch" in my PayPal account. Other than contacting PayPal using the normal customer service channels (phone, email, Facebook and Twitter), there is a weekly chat every Wednesday from 1:00-2:00 PM Pacific Time here...

A glitch???

Most of mine have been like that for about a month now. I've finally stopped gasping every time I see it and think I mistakenly had free shipping on the items. I see the total includes shipping even though it shows zeros.

The total is correct and does included the shipping, but it is disturbing that a simple, routine thing like that is getting screwed up.
Just printed the FedEx Smartpost label for that sale through eBay labels, the tracking info propagated to PayPal and populated on the transaction details page, but when I navigate to the PayPal History summary page it still shows I need to print a label. That has not happened before and shouldn't be happening at all. It's been 30 minutes and the data hasn't updated.
Tried in 2 browsers using both my default oldschool view hxxps://history.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_history and the mostly useless, devoid of information, "huge tracts of empty whitespace" summary view.
And these guys are handling my money........

Good to know this!

This is ongoing. None of the tracking numbers are showing up on the PayPal summary page and all recent transactions since 9/21/17 indicate that I still need to print a label and enter tracking even though the USPS transactions are there AND the tracking numbers are on the individual transaction detail pages.
The transaction on the 17th and all prior worked as they always have and show shipped when the tracking populates from eBay labels.
The first one on the 21st was a eBay Smartpost label, the tracking automatically populated on the details page, but still shows unshipped.
The remainder are USPS eBay labels printed, where tracking numbers automatically shot over to PayPal and show on the details pages, but still show unshipped on the summary page.
This is messing up my flow - it's tough to figure out which ones I've shipped if they don't indicate shipped as they always have. Yeah I can work around it, but WTH. This is a stupid issue that shouldn't be happening. I'm not going to manually re-upload all the tracking just to make it go away (and who knows what happens when I attach the same tracking number to a transaction twice?)
I tried to find anything about this through google and PayPal forum searches but came up dry (the PayPal forum search is even more useless that the eBay forum search ever was).

So this is a glitch?

So this is a glitch?
That's what I'm trying to find out. Glitch or some sort of unannounced change.
It's probably nothing fatal, but is alarming to a degree because it tells me something is hosed up at PayPal where my money is. If this sort of slipshod programming is the new norm, how can I trust my balance or anything else to be correct?
I went ahead and copied the tracking number from the PayPal transaction details page for one of the ones from this morning, tried to enter it in on the PayPal summary page as the tracking number to mark it shipped, and got what I was half expecting:
Sorry — your last action could not be completed If you were making a purchase or sending money, we recommend that you check both your
PayPal account and your email for a transaction confirmation after 30 minutes. If you came to this page from another website, please return to that site (don't use
your browser's Back button) and restart your activity. If you came from PayPal's website, click the PayPal logo in the upper-left corner to
return to our home page and restart your activity. You might have to log in again.
It is broken.

Wonder how this *glitch* will effect reports on what was paid for shipping.

The question was asked and answered on today's PayPal weekly chat. Here is the posted answer...
I did some research and it appears this is a known issue that some customers are seeing. We're actively working to resolve the problem and I'm terribly sorry for the inconvenience!
We hope to have things up and running properly again soon! Thanks for your patience in the meantime!

The problem appears to be an error in the computer code which is used to display that PayPal website page. I don't think it will impact any INR case on one of those transactions.

Thank you for the answer, followup, and taking the time to check into it (that's why I sent the batsignal 🙂
That explanation is consistent with what I'm seeing - only that view shows the error and attempts to add a tracking number fail as that tracking number is already present.
PayPal needs to look at that too: why does everything I can ever recall that blows up on the PayPal website show that same confusing and completely useless generic error message when, as in this case, a specific informative error message would prevent so much grief?
For example, when attempting to add the tracking number either on the summary page or on the transaction page to try to get the display error to go away
Sorry — your last action could not be completed That tracking number is already attached to this transaction.

would be much more helpful.

It's still doing it. Wonder how long PayPal's "soon" is?
