Partiality of who can profit with any item at this time?

I've thoroughly searched and found that the people reporting (in their terms) price   gouging is up and active selling their products way above retail value making way more of a profit then I would had on my cleaning products for sure. Why would this be acceptable? Why isn't  fair all across the board? Do some of these sellers have some kind of pull? I have 100%feedback and excellent customer service, when did this become an issue all of a sudden? I provide products that people want right now and DEFINITELY not making the profit the reporters are TRYING to get for theirs. How is this even fair? Why aren't the reporters giving their items away? Better yet, why aren't they at least not auctioning or listing at retail value? Thanks, Barbara

True enough, you get back what you give on the boards.

Perhaps you're correct, it's happened before after reflecting a while. At this very moment I'm wondering why the voice that's crying in the wilderness is listing items used as sanitizers at $30 over the retail cost.

Again, you are trying to justify something that is not justifiable..just to make yourself look better. The best defense has always been an offence.

I'm calling out what I observe, partiality and you can put that however you want to but at the end of the day that's exactly what it is.

Your 'observation' is skewed.

This looks like a case of Bots gone wild.  It would be wise to evaluate your key words in the titles & descriptions and make sure your pricing is fair market value.  There are research tools available.

I beg to differ, Cologne and perfume is used as an substitute for sanitizers.

Well I beg to differ.  The alcohol base must be a minimum of 60% to be effective.  And not a single sole is buying what I sell in the effort of keeping their hands sanitized.  But there are plenty of them that are smelling really good while doing their craft projects.

Now while perfumes do have alcohol in them, it is watered down to meet the needs of that particular perfumes mixture.  Colognes being the weakest of all, followed by Eau de fraiche, then Eau de Toilette, then Eau de Parfum and the highest strength perfume is pure parfum or perfume.  However the pure is not going to have a high alcohol content because it is pure parfum oil.

Depending on the perfume strength, there is about a 5-15% water content in the blend.  If you desire more information, take a look at the description in one of my fragrance listings.  I do have extra information below the description of the item being offered in the listing.

But back to your concern.  I'm not aware of anyone buying from me in an effort to make hand sanitizer, but if they are, all my prices are well below retail, so your concern doesn't hold water to to speak.  No inflated prices here.

Evening,

There's nothing to help with if the person already has the answer and we are just supposed jump in with our support, or else.

It may appear they want advice but it looks more like they want to have a choir sing their praises.

That is hard to do when you engage in the same behavior, just different products.

Hello everyone,

This thread is getting a bit heated. Please remember that it’s fine to disagree with others, but discussion should always remain courteous and respectful.

Thank you for your cooperation.

It also depends on how you PHRASE your selling line. Certain phrases kick you off, no matter the price or the item.

Perhaps it would help if I asked my buying customers to join the discussion, maybe their insight might help a little more. I'm followed with pitchforks off of so many assumptions maybe it would help to clarify somethings like I priced my items at reasonable prices, they're in their right mind and not getting robbed with great customer service. Would hat help clear up some things?

When it comes to eBay, it doesn't matter what anyone else says. Selling here isn't a right but a privilege they grant. However your listings came to their attention, eBay must have felt you were violating their rules. You feel fair play may not have factored in. They don't necessarily have to be fair. But whatever happens to your account moving forward, it will be as a result of your actions, and no one else's. It is entirely up to you. Good luck, and wish you well.

Re: Partiality of who can profit with any item at this time?

I appreciate that and there are many others in this very same position and at this point what else is there to loose if it's not fair anyways. I get what you're saying, it's their platform but I'm not convinced these reporters took no part in all the removed and flagged listings to this extreme, straight chaos and embarrassing (IMO) .

You could be right, @griffithbarbara1, but to what degree is impossible to know. If that is the case, it highlights why some posters (like myself) use a posting ID. There are a very few twisted and unhappy denizens. A rare fellow might seize an opportunity to sabotage listings in retaliation to something posted here. It has been known to happen.

I’m sorry you got caught up in the chaos.

Moving forward, the need to be scrupulously careful is heightened when there have been multiple violations. So be careful, and i wish you well.
