According to local Indiana news this USPS facility is not functioning properly. My package gets updated every day but never leaves Indiana since Feb 6. The news reported that Indiana businesses that have to ship multiple items through this facility are suffering greatly. Anyone else have items delayed in Indianapolis?

I've got one there, but am not getting updates since 2/3, buyer is being very patient.

There are problems in Indianapolis because USPS is consolidating existing facilities into a huge brand new facility which only opened in the last month or two. To start three existing facilities in Indy are moving, more from other locations in the State will follow over the rest of the year.
It's a big job doing this sort of stuff, it doesn't happen in just a few days. In the meantime there is chaos and slowdowns, it pretty much unavoidable.
Fortunately I have not had any packages pass through Indy.

My package was ground advantage. I wonder if priority mail is getting expedited through the system or if everything is being held up

I don't know the answer to that.
I do know that of the 3 old facilities in indy the one that handles packages (at the airport) primarily is one of the three to be moved to the new facility. I would assume that most of their sorting equipment is being moved as well which would definitely slow things down for weeks at a minimum.

The way to solve this would be to suspend incoming mail until they get caught up. When the Canada postal strike ended they didn't accept any incoming mail until they cleared the backlog.

Nice to know. No offense to sellers in the East but I think I'll stick to buying from western states (where I live) until this gets straightened out.

I'm in Michigan and I haven't seen any of my packages go through Indiana. They go from here to Detroit to Ohio or other places south and west.

I did. Ordered an Item on Jan. 28th, just received two days on the Feb 11. It was stuck mail jail for 2 weeks. Funny thing is the package was downtown for a week and a half. They're having troubles for sure.

I had 8 personal packages from various sellers and 5 birthday presents from family from west coast all stuck there since 1/20. After 2/1 I contacted my local postmaster since the online USPS missing mail form did nothing to help move any of these 13 packages ( 7 were priority) . Once she got involved they all moved in a day and were all delivered in 2 days. As a seller, I noticed that past 2 wks , the 17 packages going to buyers in IN now all go through IL , mostly through Chicago. Local postmasters are great and I am convinced they have special powers 😂. This consolidation of several facilities could have been better planned!

At least you get updates. I had a package get slapped with a weather exception 16 days ago out in IN. Opened a missing mail case to get more info - no one wants to tell me anything EXCEPT you picked XYZ service - it takes time. Yeah I am not worried about the service used. I am worried about USPS lack of service.
Today it updated as processing thru Indianpolis....

The issues are gaining visibility. I don't know if it will help or not:

Sounds like some Congressional Lip Service.
Congressional Lip Service Findings: The distribution center will be hampered until the consolidation is completed.

I am waiting for an expensive package to be delivered to me. It is spinning around at the Indianapolis hub.
It was shipped from AZ on Feb. 5 and arrived in Indy on Feb. 10. It has been "in transit" since then.
