I sold a $400 item, the buyer opened a case because they never received the item, it was shipped next day with all the tracking and seems to be stuck in the USPS system most likely lost, but eBay awarded the buyer their refund and took my sales proceeds.
So I call eBay they say that Im covered by seller protection. After weeks of my appeal they declined it.... What is this non sense??

Try filing a missing mail search. Sometimes that seems to shake an item loose from wherever it's stuck.

If that doesn't turn up the package, file a claim:

First class isn’t covered. eBay is the one that’s supposed to protect the seller here. That’s the point

Why would Ebay cover it if USPS lost it?
Ebay doesn't cover you if the carrier looses the package.

Try using USPS Package Intercept and have it returned to you. If it gets unstuck you want that package to come back to you instead of delivered to the buyer.

You sell a $400 item and ship it without insurance, that's on you. Even if priority mail you only have $100 max. Failure to provide proof of delivery will cause buyer to request refund, and eBay will grant it. Did at any chance, prior to case being filed, you checked on tracking and noticed no movement, you know that you can submit a Were's my mail claim to USPS, sometimes it helps loosen things up and packages start moving. eBay's sellers protection covers you as long as you ship where it shows on label, it also provides some insurance coverage based on service used. It also gives you the option to purchase additional coverage. It is all there.
Best you can do is try the package intercept, have it re-route back to you, and you will even out. The last thing you want is that somehow the parcel ends up being delivered to buyer, not only out of $$$, but also item, ugh.
Good luck.

"First class isn’t covered"
The option for USPS First Class packages is no longer an option as of July 9, 2023 -- it was absorbed into USPS Ground Delivery.
And eBay is an entirely separate entity from USPS, and has no influence in how, when, what, where or whether the mail is delivered.

What ever. Yes ground advantage. It’s not covered within usps. So what’s your point?

You’re wrong. I just talked to a supervisor at eBay. if you sell an item and have it scanned within the allowable shipping time and it gets lost or stuck in traffic. You’re covered. You better read eBay’s policies better

Absolutely incorrect. Period. It doesn't matter who told you that.
eBay does not, never has, never will, involve itself in carrier problems. I'm not even sure eBay could, without legal challenge, since it is YOU -- not eBay -- who has the contract with the carrier.
The sooner you accept the facts, the sooner you can work with USPS to resolve this.

Ground Advantage includes up to $100 insurance.
The "supervisor" you spoke with either gave you wrong info, or the info they gave was misunderstood.
You are covered for late shipping if you get a scan within your handling time and it gets lost/delayed. You are not covered by eBay on an INR (item not received) claim when the package is lost.
Here's eBay's policy @northwestnirvana :

You better find a supervisor that knows what they are talking about, because that's wrong.
The only time you would be covered is if tracking shows the package was delivered.
The supervisor you talked to was probably the guy in the next cubicle that wasn't busy.

This is why the social media Chats are more useful than the phones.
You get a transcript so you can compare what you heard with what you were told
And because there is a transcript the reps are more careful (and better trained)than the phone clerks.

I’ll upload the screen shot once I get my sales proceed back.

Remember if you did not get additional insurance, your package most likely had $100 insurance automatically. You should file for $100 even if you did not fully insure it.
