I just sent this to eBay. All sellers should send the same or similar message. Time for eBay to help out the everyday seller. They can also offer discounts to buyers to generate more sales. Let eBay know. Feel free to copy my message below.
I see you have recently provided some assistance for eBay store owners. It would be nice if you provided assistance to sellers who don’t have a store such as unlimited free listings and some reduced final value and shipping fees. Sales are way down. We need your help during this time. I’m sure eBay is still making 10s of millions of dollars each week. How about giving back a little to the everyday seller that makes you all that money? Thanks.

eBay's site, eBay's rules just as other selling venues have their site policies, rules, payment systems. It is up to the seller to make the selling platform work using what that venue provides.
BTW, are you planning on giving your customers discounts/reduced price on their purchases?...Excellent and Good for you to pass it on and pay it forward!

More free listings at a time when 'nothing is selling' is kind of counterintuitive.

Just curious, but do you have a lot of brick walls around your area? You seem to have had a lot of practice talking to them. 😄

More listings would lead to more revenue for ebay.
People have more time these days to browse ebay. More listings means more money for (many if not all) sellers and ebay.
I am not requesting lower FVF. But the 100s of free listings offers have dried up when they are most needed.
It doesn't cost ebay anything to offer free listings. Most of us are not going to sign up for a store or pay for lots of listings.

if buyers are purchasing less how are all those thousands upon thousands of listings flooding eBay going to make a difference? Many of those listings will never be seen in that kind of over saturation...they'll be visible for a brief time and then get relegated to the bottom of the heap...

I think shipping fees will Never be reduced. Besides free listings (which I think non store sellers will get some soon) there is a slight chance for a promo of like 30% off fvf if you list in a specific category. It will not be on all listings.

That is exactly how I see it. But sellers have a way to vote with their feet. There is always light at the end of the tunnel (unless a boulder is blocking it, by force majure). Hang in there, and good luck!

I think that they only were doing it for store owners because most of us store owners are locked into a year for one, and for two many store owners do this fulltime like myself. Needless to say, I do agree with you. They should have offered help across the board for all sellers regardless if they are full time, part-time or just once in awhile seller since I think a lot of people out of work may be turning to online selling to generate some extra income that normally wouldn't sell. Ebay of course also wants people to subscribe to a store to make more money in long run.
Store or not, everyone is in a time of need right now.
Thank you for your wise and compassionate words. I still have about 30 free listings left, but will not be using it, out of solidarity with those whom eBay forgot about.

Seems that ebay may have heard our voices last month and sent offers for hundreds of free listings for non-store sellers. Whether that was already in the works or a response to sellers, I appreciate it and did well in sales. Happy to see they are extending the listing offers for a couple months.
