Over Charged A Customer For Shipping, How do I fefund?

I had a buyer who bought two ornaments from me.  He paid for shipping on both.  I shipped both in one USPS Priority mail box, and cost was less than 2 shipped separately.

I feel bad about the over charge and would like to refund one shipping charge.    Been selling here for two months now and trying to get the hang of it.

So any help would be nice.

Thank You.

Go to your seller hub.

Click on "see all orders".

Go to the item in question.

On the left hand side use the dropdown menu and click on "send refund".

Reason: Shipping discount

Fill in how much you want to refund.

Does the seller get a partial refund on fees paid?

yes...the FVF for a refund is credited to your account

I was under the understanding that the seller only got a refund on FVF when there is a full refund given.

No refund if a partial refund is given.

Maybe someone else (smarter than me) can answer that.

Yes, I've gotten a refund on the fees when I do a partial refund.

The system "readds" the total transaction after refund and gives some fees back.

Thank you. This can be a concern and some sellers would adjust the refund by their unreturned costs.

It never looks like you are "getting" a refund in full because you can't 'get back' what you never received in the first place.

In this screencap, I refunded $3.00 to my buyer for postage.

I only "got back" the actual amount I got in the first place ($2.58), and the FVF was credited against the fees ebay received.
