The times In New York City are different now, not business as usual...
I just was amazed at my thought process when I received a low offer.
Obviously never considered that before.
Making a low sale vrs. Dying.
Have not been outside in 6 days now. Staying inside.

i love your items...very beautiful. if this helps: here in maryland our department of aging offers a free check in, daily call where they routinely call you every day to see if you need any help...not saying they can help you with your shipping dilemma, but good to enroll if you live alone as i do...and if you dont reply to the call over a day or two, a human being will call you to see if you are alright...not sure if new york has this service. wish you well...please stay safe.

I know to some it seems overly dramatic but there really is a silent invisible killer out there stalking the streets. Reading the daily death counts is enough to scare anybody.
Someone else made the comment about it being dramatic. I did not.

Well, it is now Friday, the package was due to be delivered by today and it has no scans at all. I am disappointed. I am sending a replacement to the buyer tomorrow.
I would give it until at least Monday before considering shipping a replacement. Your carrier owes you an explanation as to why he couldn't scan the package right there in front of you (they are expected to scan it at first possession, not later on), and it does seem like he misplaced it or lost it before it reached the PO, because any later in-network scan in the mailstream will be treated as the Acceptance scan if that is the first sighting of the package and a record has not yet been created for it in the tracking history.
The fact that it has gone six days without any scan, anywhere, does not look good, but stranger things have happened. If your buyer is not asking you where the package is, don't draw their attention to it. See what Monday morning brings.
One thing you could do is go to usps.com and sign yourself for tracking notifications. You will find the link for that on the tracking history page for your package. Contrary to popular belief, that has absolutely no effect on the movement of the package itself (i.e. it does not get it "un-stuck" or anything like that), but it places a flag on the package record that directs the system to send you an immediate notification (either text or email) whenever there is a new scan of the package on its travels.

Thank you for your response. The replacement went in the mail this morning. I signed up for text message notifications on Wednesday and nothing yet. I plan on speaking with the Post Master again on Monday.
Mostly, I am just disappointed because I was hoping I could save myself a trip to the Post Office everyday.

Yeah, sorry to hear that. It sounds like you did everything right and none of it helped.
Let us know what you hear from the postmaster...

I got food delivery from local grocery store.
That was a horror! Missing items, wrong items, stale bread, bucket load not fresh red grapes enough for an army, exorbitant price.
My sister in another country said let it pass that I may need to order food from him again.
& no, I donβt have any support group. All really alone here.
I asked my apartment buildingβs Porter if heβd go to the post office for $10. But all the work schedules are now different and I donβt know if he will actually do it when I make a sale. The last sale I made here On eBay was last month.
It was a blessing mysteriously sent by Heaven. $2000.
Got me through March but now is April.
Donβt get old! Itβs rough.
I think you've said in the past that you live in Manhattan. Try Fairway's website, as well as Fresh Direct and Whole Foods. I believe they all offer home delivery. In fact, the thousands of restaurants and cafes in Manhattan are only offering pickup or delivery.
Also, look into GrubHub, Uber Eats, etc. for grocery or restaurant delivery options.

Why only six days without going out?
Not like this started last week.
So what is the price of risking death/

I just received the first text notification on this package. It was accepted at my local Post Office about an hour ago. So, I wonder where it was between Monday when the carrier picked it up and today. Will be interesting to hear what the Post Master has to say on Monday.

Just a few thoughts re: post office visitsβ¦.
1) If the βofferβ was too low either counter or decline.
There is no reason to accept unless the $$ meet your threshold.
2) Extended handling time to 3 days. No 1 package at a time,
Hopefully 2 or more?
3) I wear a mask, home made bandana type, and latex gloves.
I look a fright, but at only 5β tall not exactly intimidating.
4) Post office clerks have rigged up a plastic sheet across the counter area and are not wearing masks but do have gloves on.
Lots of good advice re: food shopping so I will not add anything.
Good luck and please stay safe.

I understand completely! I live in Las Vegas and our mail will NOT be picked up at the door any longer. I either go to the post office to drop off or sit outside all day and wait for him!
Located in sunny Las Vegas!

I mean itβs safe if you be on the car, if you were me, I will probably just drive to the post office and shout into the post office wishing for someone to come out and ship the item for me XD. But I actually have a mailbox right next to my house so I got no problem.
