I posted my item a couple days ago and I received an offer for the same price as the buy now option. The account seems legit because she has bought things before and has had the account for a while. What should I do?

With low feedback and a high value item on offer, you are a scam magnet. I would do as @stainlessenginecovers recommends. I predict you will hear no more from the buyer.
If you accept the offer, it is likely the buyer will want your paypal address. That is so the buyer can send you a fake paypal paid email. Sure sign of a scam in the making. Another bad thing about accepting the offer is that you will then owe ebay the final value fee on the item, $750. Then you will have to go thru the entire non paying bidder process to get your fee credited. A lot of hassle for no gain.

Accept the offer...

Message the buyer back and tell them to just 'click the buy it now and proceed with payment since your offer is same as the buy it now'... and be done.

I would refuse the offer and advise the buyer to BIN, the only reason for an offer the same as the BIN will be to talk you in to doing a trade off eBay, and to scam you.
8K is a lot of money and this buyer is targeting you because you are new, DO NOT enter into any agreement to email/text privately etc off eBay, simply tell her to BIN and cut all further contact.

I did. He said that the offer works better for him and he said he'll pay immediately.

Sounds like the buyer is trying to avoid having to pay immediately

Tell him that makes absolutely no sense (the offer works better) and tell him, " if you're serious, you hit the buy it now and then pay immediately as I have it set up"
But in reality, he's playing you for a scam....

Thank you. So is there any way for him to scam me if he buys now?

No question...don't accept the offer as it is NOT an offer. There is something up with whatever he's doing. Given the value of what you're selling just be patient. You might even consider lowering the price to what you hope to make and do away with the offers so immediate payment is required

Yes; could say he received something else; or could open a return as "I just didn't like it' and then ship you back a bag of oranges etc. etc.... but VERY Doubtful they will even originally pay for it.

Thank you! I also have some other offers for a more believable price. $4900 average. Are those legitimate?

Unfortunately, yes, there are several ways you could be scammed. Buyer could claim the the box was received empty. Buyer could claim unauthorized charge on the their credit card. Buyer could claim not as described and return to you their old broken camera or worse, a box of rocks. If you ship it without signature confirmation, buyer could claim non-receipt of the camera.
You might be better off selling that camera locally, to a pawn shop if necessary.
A good rule of thumb for ebay selling is never sell anything you cannot afford to lose.

Many offers might be legitimate, but the problem is receiving payment. Unfortunately you can't get immediate payment unless it is purchased at Buy It Now with NO offers
