eBay's never-ending quest to make it even more difficult to sell items has jumped yet another shark with its absurdly obtuse algorithms making "Recommendations" for my listings. I'm sorry, but I'm selling a BLUES album, so don't recommend I say the color of the record is BLUE. And just because it's a RECORD that I'm selling, don't tell me that the instrument on said record is a RECORDER. And I've never heard of the group "LP" (ELP I know), so why does eBay want me to say that is the artist on the album.
I would request that eBay just leave me to my own devices like they had for the last 20+ years when I'm listing items, but sellers are now the pariahs of eBay - there to be abused by scam bidders (I have no recourse, apparently), have eBay hold my funds for up to 7 days (it used to be instantaneous with PayPal), change my seller's page to be a jumble of categories where I can only see 3 items at a time without leaving the page, and now micro-managing my listings to the point of annoyance.
Thank you for allowing me to vent. I know thing will only keep changing for the worse on eBay, but I just had to let that out.

...anytime you need to vent out your frustration, knowing at least one person reading and listening to...
...let all the negative feelings out of your mind, it's healthier than keeping it piles up inside of you...
...enjoy your weekend...

Paypal was one business day.
I just make up nonsense where their choices make no sense. It asks for gender on a hobby item, I tell it "all 64" for instance.

I agree!! I keep getting the listing recommendations BUT they are already on my listing... It makes no sense whatsoever. Their algorithm clearly does not work. It's so frustrating. And, of course, it effects your scores... like you're not adding their recommendations when they're already listed!
SO frustrating!

I am selling a bracelet that is somewhat pricey, but it's made entirely of 14k Gold filled accessories. Ebay suggested I sell it for $14.50 obviously not having a clue of what gold and other gemstones are selling for these days. I agree with the original post, let sellers who know their products, make the choice to lower prices, etc. They should be worried about more important issues with Ebay new platform of business.
