When all listings change to Good 'Til Cancelled sellers will need the ability to disable the global out of stock setting at the listing level.
I have a lot of multi quantity and multi variation listings. I set them at GTC and I use the Out of Stock (OOS) feature which keeps those listings alive until I am able to restock.
I also have a lot of single quantity listings that I set at 30 day fixed price.
When the rollover to GTC happens using the OOS feature means I will have to manually end every single quantity listing that sells, and in some cases where a buyer purchases near the end of the cycle those listings may renew before I get the chance to end them costing me store listings or additional fees for something that's sold, out of stock, and won't be restocked.
Manually ending so many listings that are sold out is going to be a lot of work.
OOS is currently a global account setting. I would like the option to disable OOS at the listing level for items where I have a single quantity and I know I will not be getting more stock.

Thanks for the clarification............on the credit during the cycles........
BUT need further info on the definition of credit......... If one uses a "free" listing.......does the seller get that one back?....... That could apply to someone who uses only the 50 free or a store owner who, as was pointed out, gets a certain # of non billable listings with a store?

Ok, you get a 'credit' for any 30 day cycle with zero stock (but we know you don't get free insertions back) BUT does the zero qty OOS listing END at 90 days? If yes, does it go into your unsolds?

This is not entirely true. When one of my store listings is used for a GTC renewal, that listing is not credited back to my account if the quantity is zero for the full month. You can make an argument that store listings are "free" but as long as I pay for a store subscription, those listings are definitely not free.
So I stand firm to my original post. This creates a lot more work for sellers and the OOS setting is needed at the listing level.
Hi @beardedbovine, I apologize for my mistake - I need to amend my earlier statement and as it does look like this is not an automatic credit, simply something that a seller would qualify for if an insertion fee was assessed. This wouldn't apply if no fee was charged, as you have described. Of course your request for the Out Of Stock feature to be available at a listing level is something we will review for possible future enhancements and in the meantime I'm happy to help the Community with suggestions on how to best adapt to changes. Ultimately, while this may pose additional work for some sellers who manage their inventory very closely, the vast majority of sellers will not have to take any additional steps and every seller will benefit from the increased traffic and sales generated by our shift to the Good 'Til Cancelled format.
In short, while I understand that adding more time to your standard process can be a frustrating possibility to consider, we believe this change will result in a corresponding boost to business growth that will offset any potential increase to time investment.

HI @myjunqueyourtreasure, you would get the insertion fee back. That is the credit that I am referring to, and while it is not automatically applied as I initially indicated, it is something our Customer Service teams will happily provide.
If an OOS listing has zero quantity for three consecutive billing cycles, it will be ended and moved to your unsold section.

Yes I know you said that, but "free" insertions don't have a "fee" to be credited back, do they? And I've never known anyone to have used free insertions added to their account for any reason.
That's the way it's always been.
Thanks for the clarification on the ending though.

You are correct........that's what Trinton is trying to say in his message

Hello trinton, with absolutely no disrespect intended, is ebay going to be willing to guarantee that the ' the vast majority of sellers will not have to take any additional steps and every seller will benefit from the increased traffic and sales generated by our shift to the Good 'Til Cancelled format.'?
