On march 9th of 2022 a buyer purchased an 3499 Cartier love bracelet, then the next day asked to cancel the transaction. As I was figuring out how to cancel the transaction, I received an email from eBay. The buyer had filed a not recognized charge with his financial institution. The minute I received the email I accepted and Called eBay to confirm that I agreed to issue a refund and cancel the transaction. However a week later I received an email from eBay. eBay had decided to challenge the dispute and the case was decided in my favor. I Called eBay to please issue a refund and close the case , because during those days the buyer was harassing me day and night, asking to cancel the transaction. It wouldn’t be right to keep the funds and the merchandise. I was reassured that this time eBay was going to issue a refund and the case was going to be closed and there was nothing to worry about, but that didn’t happen. eBay instead of issuing a refund, sent the funds to my bank account. As soon I realized that, I Called eBay again and asked them to issue a refund and close the case. Again they apologized and promised to issue the refund. Then on march 25th the buyer reopened a item not received case. Again I called eBay and asked to cancel the transaction and issue the refund to the buyer. I told eBay that I was not going to ship the item because it would not be right to ship an item that a seller does not want. Again ebay agreed to issue a refund and cancel the transaction. Mean while there was a red flagged message from eBay, your shipment is overdue ship the item. I tried canceling the transaction and issue a refund, that option wast available, the only option I had was to ship the item. I waited till April 5th before in printed the shipping label. During that time the funds were still in my account. eBay did not issue the refund to the buyer, I was tired of calling eBay Even though I had printed the shipping label I did not ship the item out till April 19th I waited a month and 9 days before I shipped the item . Also before I took the package to the post office I emailed the buyer if he had received his refund. The buyer responded it says I paid for it. When I printed the shipping label the dispute was automatically closed. And the merchandise was successfully delivered to the buyer. On June 26 four months later ebay sent me an email stating that I owed eBay 3177 dollars because the buyer had received this refund. A month or so later the buyer listed my bracelet on his eBay account and sold my bracelet for a fraction of the price. And eBay is aware of this. The buyer posted a picture along with the listing we here it show that he had paid 3770 for the bracelet from me. There is even a positive feedback left from the new buyer. eBay refuses to reach out to the buyer and heal me to retrieve my merchandise. eBay isn’t willing to help at all. The new eBay managed payment has created this entire issue. I never had this issue before when pay pal used to process the transactions. In the event of dispute the funds were held till the problem was solved. I have been selling on eBay for 11 years and never ever had an issue similar to this one. I called eBay and spoke with multiple supervisors and none of them are willing to help. I would be fine getting my merchandise back, but I can’t loose the merchandise and the funds. eBay has refused to take accountability for the problem that they created. If I as a seller accepted to cancel a transaction eBay had no business in challenging the dispute furthermore transferring the funds to my bank account creating a confusion.

Rule no: 1 on selling on the Internets:
Do not list it for sale if you can not afford to lose item and all money paid for it.
You got very bad customer service as usual with eBay. Regrettable but is a FACT.
Sorry about that;
You should have been able to cancel the sale after the first payment dispute was closed in your favor.
Personalty and maybe legally, eBay owes you: if the information you have posted here is correct;
Seek legal advice.

When the buyer contacted me I was figuring out how to cancel the transaction and as soon as I received the email I accepted the dispute, then I wanted to issue a refund and cancel the transaction. I couldn’t do that, so I called eBay, I explained what had happened. The buyer before purchasing the item asked multiple questions, this isn’t a not authorized case, the buyer changed his mind. I am ok with canceling the order and issuing a refund. I would never force a buyer to complete a transaction that they don’t want. I have learned over the years that most of the time ebay sided with the buyer. It is best if you accept the dispute specially if you haven’t shipped the item yet. The solution was simple. All eBay had to do is issue a refund and close the case instead of challenging the dispute period.

I'm not understanding why you shipped the buyer a $3000+ item that they did not want a month after they asked you to cancel the transaction.
07-25-2022 12:44 PM
because despite all the calls I made to eBay, eBay didn’t issue a refund to the buyer, instead ebay transferred the funds to muy account. So if I received the payment from a buyer and there is a red flagged message from ebay saying “ ship the item your shipment is over due. And the only option I had in order to close the case was to ship the item. What else was I supposed to do. And ebay never took the funds from my account. The case was closed for four months.

Whole thing shows a lack of judgment on your part for a $3000+ item IMHO
You should have held onto the item until this whole thing was resolved. PERIOD.

I agree with you, I accepted the dispute the minute I received the email from eBay. Then I called eBay to make that they this was handled correctly. I explained the situation. And asked to issue a refund and cancel the transaction, instead ebay defended to challenge the dispute.
I agree million times with you. I agree

Truth is ayden the payment processor need to learn English as a language and re right such as the payment disputes so a seller can just plain refund em canceling the sale..
Make it simple and easy to find. Would save time and a lot of money for sellers to do so.
The rest of this advice from non payment specialist (witch should never give advice to a payment dispute unless a payment specialist) should never have happen.

This case was very simple. The buyer opened a dispute, the seller accepted the dispute and eBay should have issued a refund instead of challenging the case and transferring the funds to my bank. Here is the prof that I accepted to issue a refund

How? The buyer opened a dispute, I accepted the dispute then I called eBay to confirm. eBay agreed to issue a refund. Then decided to challenge the dispute and Closed the case in my favor. Every time I received an email from eBay consistently I called eBay and asked to issue a refund and close the case. That never happened. instead there was a reminder that I should ship the item. The item was shipped a month later. After eBay transferred the funds to my account and never issued a refund. The case was closed the day I printed the shipping label. The confusion was created by eBay. This picture confirms the buyer claim. The buyer said it shows I paid this is the image he posted when he sold the merchandise. And it clearly shows that he had purchased the item
