Non payer feedback

I’ve had a few non payers in recent months.   Why tf can I only leave “positive” feedback?   I want to let other sellers know he/she wins auctions but doesn’t pay.

Re: Non payer feedback

Who do you think reads feedback?
Not the deadbeat. They don't care.

Not eBay. EBay does not use FB to assess member accounts.

Not other sellers. Most sales are from Fixed Price listings and we only see FB after the sale is accepted.

The reader will be your future buyers who may not want to deal with a seller who leaves angry FB for other buyers.

EBay has a Disputes system which allows you to give the deadbeat a Strike if they do not pay up within 96 hours.

With even two Strikes, the deadbeat will find their attempts to buy blocked by millions of sellers.

Enough Strikes and eBay may step in and end the deadbeat's buying privileges.

I will chime in on your use of auctions. I would avoid them with the inventory you have. The reason is that buyers, for the most part, want their items TODAY. They do not want to wait around for a week to see if they win an auction. Unless you have an item that you don't know the value for, and it is in high demand with low supply, I can about guarantee you that you are leaving money on the table

Auctions work for instant cash flow and as quasi-advertisements for other items that are Buy It Now.  I do auctions all the time.  Greed doesn't work.

I will!  I had no idea about the policy change but I’m not much of a seller either.   Thanks for your input! ☺️

Not a recent change.  The change happened over 17 YEARS ago.
