I’ve had a few non payers in recent months. Why tf can I only leave “positive” feedback? I want to let other sellers know he/she wins auctions but doesn’t pay.

Ebay changed the feedback policy which only allows sellers to leave positive feedback for buyers. Negatives and Neutrals only for buyers to leave for sellers. They made this change so buyers can purchase stuff with confidence. When a buyer doesn't pay you they get a strike. So they do get penalized for not paying you buy other sellers don't know what. Ebay now has it to where buyers must pay for the item for the listing to end to reduce non paying buyers. I would recommend maybe changing your ads from auction style to fixed listing if you are concerned about non paying bidders. You can perhaps sell your items quicker as well.

But they DO get a strike on their record *if* they're reported for non-payment. Sellers can ban buyers with 2 or more nonpayment strikes in a rolling 12-month period.
ETA: I do agree - don't bother with auctions, particularly with clothing. Auctions were a fad that died a long time ago save for certain unicorn items.

Because you are a seller. Sellers can only leave positive feedback since 2008.
Hopefully you filed the Cancellation of the transaction using the reason as the buyer did not pay. That will put a strike on their account.

I will chime in on your use of auctions. I would avoid them with the inventory you have. The reason is that buyers, for the most part, want their items TODAY. They do not want to wait around for a week to see if they win an auction. Unless you have an item that you don't know the value for, and it is in high demand with low supply, I can about guarantee you that you are leaving money on the table, plus the headache of having bidders not pay. Put your clothes out there for the market rate, sit back and wait for the cha-chings.
If you are getting into the reselling game, you may also want to consider adding more items. Even if it is just a few items a week.

People can bid on an auction and before it ends find another listings with BIN that is cheaper.

Was the "Campbell Biology" a non-payment? I assume it's a textbook so that would not be a good idea to have on auction. Most colleges have already started and students can't wait 7 plus days for a textbook.

Yes, eBay did change the policy, but it wasn't a recent change. The OP has been on eBay since 2003.

It seems that you turned off the auto pay for auctions - turn it back on and your unpaid auctions problem goes away.
EVERY sold auction of ours in the last three plus months has been auto paid.

I will! I had no idea about the policy change but I’m not much of a seller either. Thanks for your input! ☺️

Thanks so much. I just retired and hope to list more. Amazon sure turned everyone into an “I want it now!” population. Thanks for your wisdom!

Ya. I listed later than planned. Oh well. Maybe I’ll keep it on there for next semester. ☺️

I’ll look into that! Thanks so much!
