Our sales are off 90% since July. We have been on eBay for 15 years, never seen anything like this. Our brick and mortar store is only off 15%, so it is not the economy. We have an eBay store, all our listings are promoted, and we are top rated. Something has changed . Any suggestions? Thanks.

Same Or Similar Happening To A Lot Of Us!, It Will Only Change If Ebay Recognizes The Problems & Fixes Them!

But we have been selling at these prices for over 10 years.

We tried ending old listings, then selling similar. Nothing. We tried eliminating punctuation marks and abbreviations (per suggestion), still nothing. Don't really want to move 3,000 listings to Discogs, but something has to give here.

The buyers have gone on an Ebay extended vacation. That’s all I can say.

I'm promoting my stuff more than you are.
So, in return, eBay is going to show my items before yours.
Until you promote more than me.
Then it's your turn.
Of course, there are a hundred of us doing the same.
SO, who comes 1st? Who is last?
Lets spin the bottle to see.

Hint: Just tried to view your current listings - came up blank

So in other words the only one who really comes out ahead is Ebay. You have to admit Ebay has a good gimmick going on for them at the moment 🤔

They pulled out quick. Fastest eBay store shutdown ever. Maybe eBay will start actually listening to their sellers.

I'm in the San Francisco Bay area. Two or three times a month, I sell at a couple of different weekly flea markets. In my experience, sales are down for most sellers there (including me). I'm now happy to make half of what I did just a year or so ago. I have several friends who sell at the high-end monthly antique markets. Their merchandise is still selling, but at 20-50% of what it was a couple of years ago.

That doesn't mean that that's what those things are selling for NOW, though. Do a search for some of your items and check the solds to see what the actual recent sold prices have been.

Last 10 years, people had more extra money to spend.
More people are buying things they need, and putting off what they want.

People preferred to shop for vinyl in person. I have access to wholesale prices on vinyl, and I pay more in person, but that is how even I prefer to shop.
Don’t get me wrong, a 90% drop is significant, if that is what it is. That seems like a gigantic drop, so something else is going on. That doesn’t mean that I blame, eBay, or that someone has flipped a switch, or that the economy has nothing to do with it.
Usually when someone reports such a massive drop, their math is wrong. No doubt that I believe you when you state that sales are down, but 90% is really unbelievable.
Stating that you have been pricing one-way for 10 years doesn’t really help your case. I can’t imagine a real business stating that they’ve been doing things the same way for a very long time, don’t expect that anything should change, and then wonder why sales are down.
