No sales & my listings look like I'm not in the U.S.

It's been a hellacious month and no sales at all this week. I was just trying to search for one of my items, checking visibility, and it showed up, but as an item from an international seller. I'm a U.S. seller and I was searching on eBay.com, not an international eBay page.

I read a message board item by another ebay seller saying the same thing happened to her. Anyone have any ideas? Maybe I have no sales because search is messed up.

Something is def weird with search.  I just did a search for "Fossil Leather Woven Belt"  and related searches state "brass vase".  Something is off.

my sales have fell off a cliff. Why cant ebay acknowledge they have a problem. Sellers are losing sales and being charged extra. Heide it may have to do with promoted listings as my promoted listings are showing about 6 or 7 on the item list and then my original not promoted listing is showing under international sellers even though I am a USA seller.

Oh, that's easy. When you tighten the belt too much to make you look more svelte and you lose consciousness and fall down you won't break the vases that are brass. I'm sure you'd find a recommendation to search for 'Medical Supplies' if your original search is for knives. Cassini is a beautiful thing.

I do not think it has anything to do with promoted listings. One of my accounts have promoted listings. It has the problem. The other 3 accounts do not have promoted listings and they all have the problem.

Re: No sales & my listings look like I'm not in the U.S.

I just noticed the same issue with some of my listings ... when I search for the titles (or at least most words in the title) at least one of my listings is thrown at the bottom because it appears under 'more from international sellers' just like the original poster mentioned!

Another of my items doesn't even show up when I search for it!

Someone else started another thread with the same exact issue, so I guess it's happening to mulitple sellers and hasn't been fixed yet 😞

I'm not sure if something was fixed across the entire site, but the listing I was having problems with showing up under international sellers has alot more views and is now showing up as normal.  Hopefully eBay solved the issue or at least is beginning to.

Re: No sales & my listings look like I'm not in the U.S.

it depends on what server or program you get logged into when you sign on. The reason it is intermition is because sometimes you get good program (does not show international) sometimes bad ( you get the international problem). WHICH MEANS THIS IS ALSO HAPPENING TO OUR BUYERS AND THEY DO NOT KNOW IT. When you get the international problem. Sign off close window. Open new window sign in and sometimes you get the good program sometimes you have to repeat this process 3 or 4 times to get the good one.

I had this same problem with some of my listings.   This appears to be an issue with CHROME & the radio buttons.  I don't know why some of my listings don't show and others do.  However, all my listings are fine now since I took myself off of the GLOBAL SHIPPING program.   I don't know if this would be a workaround for some of you, but it worked for me.

Not Chrome. Its all browsers.  Not global either. I do not do global shipping. You think yours are ok. Check if showing international sign off close window Goback to ebay sign on again and check. Sometimes it take 3 or 4 sign ons to show international problem. This accounts for the intermitting problem showing.  If they show correct repeat above and check again. I think it depends on the program or server you get when you sign on to ebay.

Hi all - I don't have an update just yet but I will reach back out to the tech team to see what additional info they can provide. I'll add the other examples reported here as well so they know more sellers are reporting this. As promised, I will follow up on this thread as soon as I have more info.

And under the 'related searches' are belts that have the words you searched for in the title. What good is a search if it won't return what you asked for?

Thanks, Heidi. I did, finally, get an email from support saying they are working on it. But...I've had no sales since the 8th so I haven't been able to pay my fees and have been cut off. I asked CS to allow me more time to pay since their snafu has greatly impacted my sales, but they are silent.

Re: No sales & my listings look like I'm not in the U.S.

Research into this spreading issue has revealed that if the buyer/shopper has the "Item Location" set to "Default" in search then some US items can and will show up in search results incorrectly as being sold by International sellers.

If the buyer changes the Item Location in Search to anything else (US, North America, Worldwide) the same items from the same US sellers will now correctly show up at the top grouping of the search results with the the other US items.

This is a new bug on eBay.

Others are noticing the same issue:

It's not just you, not just me.  A lot of eBay sellers are having the same problem.

Re: No sales & my listings look like I'm not in the U.S.

almost... items aren't "being listed as a seller who is not in the US" ....rather, the search results are indicating that some items from US sellers are incorrectly being shown as coming from International sellers in the search results.

Yes, it's confusing.
