I know we all sell products that run the spectrum from electronics to flower pots to everything in between, but I find it strange that I haven't had a sale in 10 days. Anyone else finding your year starting off with slow/no sales?

YES!!! My January was half of December, and February was half of January. March has not started off too bad, I am at least above the first week of February at this point. I've had a sale almost every day after not having any sales for several days straight, with the exception of today, NO SALES!! I noticed though that my sales so far this quarter is 26% higher than first quarter this time last year.

January February were amazing. Starting March off a little slow. With everything going on in the world its understandable though.

How about slow/expensive shipping? Even priority now takes 3 or more days, used to be 3 or less. Media and first class shipping relegated to parcel category, sometimes 2 weeks and no current tracking for a week or so. And forget mailing any package over 12". I don't mean to be hard on the USPS but services seem to slowly decline.

My sales always tank when they make changes to the site.

I think we may in for a wild ride here with inflation, gas up, war etc. People may be tightening their belts as far as overspending on stuff now with all this uncertainty. Have some reserves to get through this right now.

Well shipping fees and ebay fees together are getting quite expensive lately which forces sellers to up prices and with stagflation, and gasflation that’s not a good thing.

Sales have plummeted since they dropped paypal, changed item descriptions, and redid algorithm. Don't bother calling, all you get are "try promotions", "lower prices", "change descriptions". All of which I did before I called. I sell various vintage tools, military, and old cards and such. Things I listed and had at least 20 views in one day and a sale in a week now is no sales and 20 views in a month. I have searched my own items, if you don't type in your item almost exactly to the word in a search, its simply not there or hundreds of items down even with promotions. The Ebay ship has sailed unless they correct their mistakes....

Add in the "race to the bottom" required in some categories to make a sale and..... eBay is going to lose all the marginal sellers they have left.

Sales are definitely slower across most platforms for many categories. Of course, there will always be a few categories that are doing the same as 2021 or better. Everything depends on what you're trying to sell. Just hang in there.
Stay safe!

Same here. Maybe 1 sale per week and adding new items constantly.

Same here. I am getting very depressed and frustrated. I have been listing pretty consistently and 1 random sale here and there. Even have been sending offers and no one is buying. I feel like are promoted listing the9nly way you can sell?

Don’t give in to promoted listings. I have about 2000 listed. It used to be a good paying part-time job. My sales used to be about 8% of my inventory, now they are at 4%. I know this is the slow time but 8% was the lowest last year.
we shall see

I have been a small ebay seller for 12+ years! Sales have never been this bad! I used to ship 3-4 items per day now I feel lucky if I ship that many per week. Today is Thursday, no sales at all this week. It must be something eBay has done along with the recession! Praying it gets better!

I am worried, too! I count on that part time income to help pay bills! I called ebay last week to get advise on increasing sales and got some guy from God Knows Where that couldn't understand why I was upset. He thought I was unhappy with a purchase....I finally just hung up!
