The new markdown manager does not allow you to add new inventory to your sale. If anyone knows how to do this I would love to know. The only way I can think of doing this is to set up a new sale anytime I list new items, which is daily.
So by the end of the month I would have 30 sales going on instead of the one per month I used to have and just add new products to that sale.

Are there any instructions on using the markdown sale promotions? I created a sale for 20% off and added about 10 items to it. Only 3 showed up. I created another sale and put the rest on it and none show up.
Is there a limit of 3 items I can put on sale? Are there no instructions for this tool?

I always put mine as buy 6 get 3 free-- I sell sports cards-- and use the create rules no item limit side. I have it set for all my listings and new ones I listed today are included in the sale. Sale is set to run until 1-1-2019.

Ok , I'm fresh on the sales floor using eBay as my preferred sales venue . Thoughtfully, I hoped my over 30 years in multiple sales venues would be extended into eBay marketing. However , it has stopped at the virtual threshold of eBay's regulatory guidelines. Looking at first promising ,maybe leveraging a second career but as I went forward finding the rules rather restrictive for the seller . My offering is to balance the rule of commission, assuring a profit on each item being listed on behalf of eBay's earning potential properly observed and credited. We have to be honest and appreciate a venue , whether having significant earning potential of our own , it does offer, in this rip off mentality of a world , a safe platform to earn an extra buck. A small scale yes but eBay offers you the small individual seller a broad platform to work from only available to larger more time invested companies. I'm happy , having the protection of a solid based manager per say , to help subsidise my families overall earnings

I can't get it to add any items to my sale -it says "SKIPPED: Price" but the sale is active. I've used it before and it worked. Actually, it did add one item which is out of stock~! But there are other items out of stock, too, so that doesn't even indicate any pattern. There's a real problem with it.

Created a 25% off sale for July4th week a few days ago, for "all inventory"...yesterday I discovered that it skipped 21 of my items, all of which I had just listed within the past week or so. Try as I might to include them, including creating separate sales for 'em...checking "include skipped"...unchecking "include skipped"...it just won't take 'em. When I called eBay, I was told the 14 day thing is for the Buyer's benefit. ??? How does it "benefit" the Buyer NOT to be able to get 25% off of those items? lol
Also, I agree with an earlier post....with each new "improvement", I am getting fewer and fewer sales.

I'm happy to let everyone know that because of the feedback we heard from members of the Community, we no longer require 14 days after an item is removed from a markdown sale before it can be placed on sale again. Please go here for more information

Thats a false statement from that Ebay team mate basically if you have any items that are new to Ebay (14days) it will not markdown. Another attempt by ebay to regulate everything on here. All i can say is do Ebay for extra money only do not depend on Ebay for a business they have single handly destroyed this site.
Starting June 25, 2018, you must list your item for 14 calendar days at the same price before you can create a markdown sale event with Promotions Manager.
We recommend that you list your item at a competitive price before you create a markdown sale event. For many products, pricing recommendations are provided as you list and under the Growth tab in Seller Hub.

ebay has confirmed Technical Issue with me (Still NOT fixed after 1 week)
Inventoried Item(s) unable to revise and/or Inventoried Item(s) unable to List & Save
" The job context object is not supported by Action Service Framework"
FACT: ebay will not send out a general message about THEIR clitch and/or confirm nor deny Technical Issue has occurred and/or has been resolved.
(You can only list on an already listed item & sell Similar; with added new pics & typing in the description-part#-color-size- etc.)
I'm NOT going to take 100 + new Pics and do all the typing required on items that are in my inventory with PICS & DESCRIPTIONS previous typed in & ready to list.
Just have to relax..... & WAIT..... for ebay to fix their computer clitch and/or Technical Issue.
