New Listing Tool is not my friend

Wow eBay thanks for the new listing tool (NOT). It took me all morning to list 1 item. How is this better??? EBay you are going to have to fix the new listing tool it has several issues that it's not letting me list. I will never opt in until you get it running right.

Yeeeep- it's pretty much a disaster. No access to product catalog when creating similar listing...Have to create a brand new listing for each item and manually adjust all of the item specifics as you go...Come on  ebay...get with..the proOOOOOOOgram.

Re: New Listing Tool is not my friend

Of course, it is your choice on whether or not to use the new listing tool. At some point , it will be a choice between using the new tool or not listing.

the good news is that 68% of sellers prefer the new tool.  I expect that the % will increase as sellers become more comfortable with the enhancements.

I Agree!, I Hate It!, Another New & Improved Disaster!, Takes Way To Long & I was Forced to put a Grade & The Item Is Not Graded, But I let Customers know in the Description that it is not professionally graded to Hopefully cover my butt

I continue to be curious about that 68% approval rating.

Which sellers were polled? When?

Were these sellers who already were listing on mobile? Or had switched recently to using the app? How many sellers that only used desktop were polled?

what size sellers were these? What were their categories?

I got two finished -- I think.   Do they show or highlight required item specifics anywhere?  I didn't notice any specs showing  required yet & I don't want to miss that.

Where is this statistic from that you keep quoting on every complaint about the new listing tool?  Highly doubtful numbers

If you miss anything that is required, there will be a message up top but don't remember if it says what was missing.

Have a great day.

At the top of the item specifics section it will tell you which ones are required if you haven't already filled them in!

Re: New Listing Tool is not my friend

Ebay shoots itself in the foot when they pull this crap.

Bottomline it's simple business.

If it takes way longer to list items, then

in any given day you will be listing half the amount you normally had time for, there by

ebay is getting less revenue in the end from you.  And we as sellers are selling less and making less, because

of the time it takes to list the items.

10 years ago, I could list items way faster....then they changed it and it slowed me down.

now they slowed it down even more.  It's rediculous considering the amount of technology availiable

to stream line a website.  Why go back in time, which we are really doing when using this

inferior technology?

agreed, there are certain categories that require a grade on rediculous items...  Ughh!

Re: New Listing Tool is not my friend

There's actually not a way to opt out...eBay is forcing us to use the new tool. When listing in high volume, I do not see how it is more  efficient to have to manually type the different item specifics for each and every product as you go. We sell in video games, there used to be a Product Catalog to browse through which would allow us to easily copy and paste the new game titles as we "create similar" listings.

Now there is no  access to this product category unless we create a new listing from scratch..

Don't care what anyone says...THIS NEW TOOL IS BOZO BOGUS and will  result in high volume sellers being hurt..and for what? To help the little guy be able to list more easily on his phone??

If I were rich I would be shorting ebay stock very heavily today bc this is Bad news unless fixed quickly.

Re: New Listing Tool is not my friend

I rarely come to the community area but was wondering if people were as frustrated as me with this new selling format forced upon us...Obviously change comes with a certain amount of blowback but have not seen a single reason to think this is a positive change,  As usual , convinced whoever makes these changes has never sold a single thing on ebay...
