Good Lord.... Please let me hang on until June 1 when I go on Medicare and my SSI will cover all my bills. The pricing is really going to affect selling here and online regardless of what discussion board catagory this thread lands on.

Please tell this to all of my buyers as many of them actually think it's free for me to ship to them. Here's my recent post related to that https://community.ebay.com/t5/Selling/This-buyer-really-thinks-it-s-free-for-me-to-ship-her-item/td-...

If this is true... I request that the OP demand that this information be posted on eBay's home front page with the link and big letters "Postage is VERY expensive & always rises. Don't get mad at your seller"

With these never ending shipping fee hikes, selling online is becoming more and more pointless as profit margin continues to evaporate due to them. You can only pass along so much to buyers.
That's why each seller has to understand to pass the entire cost onto the buyers and raise prices. When too many sellers decide to cut into their profits or don't pass the entire cost, it's making the entire market shoot itself in the foot. Flat line without possibility of resuscitation.

Apology accepted.

Most of what I sell goes 1st Class. Buyers will be able to pay the increased fees without even knowing there was an increase.
On the calculated, they have the option, if not the ability/inclination to check postal rates.
I do not think the regular/expected rate increases will keep me from getting fries, and a shake along with my burger.

was out with the wife food shopping then xmas shopping and my phone was going off with email notifications for the thread but I hate replying on the phone...
The new rate hikes are not small for some services, I mostly ship Media/First Class/Priority, even Media is taking price increases but what I really noticed was the First Class International Parcel/Priority International rates... wow, like $30 1 pound starting... I don't ship international anymore but those that do should look at those rates.
Side note last night I got order for a package that usually costs $11 and change to ship to NY... it cost me $12 and change instead... not going to worry about $1 but I'm going to adjust my prices on anything First Class and Priority

Exactly! Normally what I do when postage rates increase is not full charge the differences right away, give a slight increase at first and gradually add the rest later if needed... depends on the zone, for my zone the increase won't be huge and I'll just swallow it, but for other zones like from me to FL i will need to add $1 eventually.

misleading, only the calculated shipping method will update automatically, sellers who provide "free shipping" and even sellers who don't but use shipping tables will need manually update rates

What about super sizing your order? That's when you know you've made it when you can super size.

Side note, I'll see if I can find some charts for increased rates for UPS / FedEx to post... it maybe worth looking at those see if one can save a little on certain services/weights from their normal methods... I'm just not as well versed with those carriers as I am with USPS.
