New Buyer purchased 3 different items under 3 different new ID's.

Coming back to you asking something I had not come across selling on eBay.  New buyer has purchased 3 different items under 3 different NEW eBay ID's (just joined)  in the last 3 days.  All went to the same name and address.   Is there something I am not getting here?  Or because she is new, is she confused, or is it something else?  Thanks in advance for your help!!

nothing wrong - I have 4 Ebay accts and dependent upon which acct I am looking at if I quickly go to search for items and see one I like I will just purchase from that acct. Sadly combined mailing for this buyer cannot occur due to Ebay rules

     Possibly using guest accounts every time she is making a purchase. I looked at your sold items and I don't see anything that would fall on a scammers target list either from an item or a cost perspective. Your listings are BIN and I am assuming immediate payment required which poses some issues when trying to make a combined purchase. You may want to mention to the buyer that they could save some money on postage with a combined purchase or you could setup a custom bundle for them if they want more items.

Just a day or two ago someone else posted this almost exact question. New account, same address but with slightly different first names and bought  3 identical items from them. When buyer returned their message concerning if they meant to purchase all 3 they responded with something about them being an old lady? Normally I wouldn’t say being a new account or having more than one is suspicious (I haven’t had a bad experience selling to new accounts), but that whole scenario struck me as odd. I will try to find that post and link it for you.

Thanks so much for the suggestion.  I did write her and thanked her purchases and I did mention for any future purchases from me that were on the same invoice (and I explained to her the Cart method) she would pay the postage for 1st item only ($1.99) then any other items bought from me are shipped free. 

I love the cart method and use it all the time when shopping here!

How does it work with the Cart for a Buy It Now that has Immediate Payment.  Can you put items in the cart and then request a total?

With BIN and immediate payment required I have never been able to get the cart process to work.

I guess in this case then a smart buyer should contact the buyer to put everything into one listing so they can adjust the shipping.

     After having this problem twice that is what I now do these days, although I seldom buy on eBay anymore,  or I look for sellers that don't require immediate payment.

It could be guest accounts.  You can always contact ebay and ask about a buyer because you are concerned about a potential security/scam issue, and they will help with concerns.

They may have been taking advantage of coupons or some of those online shopping rewards programs that people get involved in. On rare occasions ebay does target certain users with $5 off of $10 and other coupon deals.
