Hello all,
I have been on ebay since 1997 and have only received positive feedback. A buyer recently gave me neutral feedback but did not explain why. They just said "Fair warning should tell you something". A reference to my ebay name I guess. This buyer did ask for a shipping discount after the end of auction which I politely declined. I packed the item very well. So, not sure what to make of it. Should I just move on and not worry?

Whether you decide to respond to the neutral fb or not, I would place that buyer on your BBL to avoid any additional issues.

I don't think your user ID had anything to do with the root cause of the neutral feedback. Too late to fix this one, but you can prevent similar feedback in the future.

She said tarnish, not I. Also I am well aware that Tarnish is silver Oxidation. We are a Silver, Gold Bullion and Coin Dealers (41yrs+), as well we are skilled in refurbishing vintage and estate jewelry here in our Brick and mortar store. If the item was damaged by it, we would not have sold it. Here, I thought people would enjoy a funny situation, instead I get a lesson.... Lighten up! I found it more amusing than anything, it is the first time I have had a complaint saying that, usually it is the other way, such as "I can't believe you removed the patina".
P.S. Patina is also Tarnish and is highly desirable on many items depending on color, such as Blues, Greens and Reds on coins. Removing it on items such as these can and has lowered the value, though not always. It is a thin line that I take quite a bit of care before deciding which to do.

Patina is not tarnish and of course should be left on the jewelry..it leaves a soft, warm glow..patina is thousands of little scratches over the years which meld together and leave this warm, darkened glow in the aging process.I wouldnt be happy receiving a tarnished ring myself..jmo...

'Silver Patina is a gorgeous, rich, warm, soft, lustrous finish that forms over time as a result of use and handling.'
