Negative Feedback Received

The item arrived on time, and in good condition. The customer didn’t like the product. A Full Refund was issued, and the buyer was allowed to keep the item. Is there anything else I can do to get the Negative Feedback removed?

Fair depends on the end of the stick you get -

Business isnt "fair"

FB is the buyers opinion. It should be his opinion of the seller and not a review of the item but ... eBay doesnt look at it that way.

You did fine by just responding to the Negative FB as you did.

It will show buyers that you are a reasonable seller.

You should look into a different return policy.

Even if you went "30 days buyer pays returns" you would be better off.

You could have told the buyer to return for refund and even if he had filed an NAD case, where you pay return shipping, you would have the item back to sell and eBay would have removed the FB.

Nothing you can do.  Buyer doesn't like the product so he leaves seller negative feedback.    Happens all the time.  All you can do is block them from buying from you again.    Stupid buyers are stupid for a reason.  Something in the brain not working properly.    Ebay should remove these types of feedback but they won't.

I really don't understand why a refund is given without at least telling them to return for refund.  No seller likes bad feedback, but it is survivable and no longer counts against our seller rating.   I usually have one most of the time, and find that having a return policy will help avoid getting one if they just don't like an item.

Did the buyer open a return request? Why did you  issue a refund?

Instead of giving a refund and hoping the buyer will agree to a revision (which they don't have to), you should have just told the buyer "I'm sorry you aren't happy with it. Please return it for a refund."

Once the buyer returned it, you would issue a refund and could resell it.

Probably not as eBay will say he was giving his "opinion" of the transaction.  It's a shame because I think your listing is very good; you have great photos that show what the book was like.   The only thing you can do is message him and reiterate that you are sorry that he didn't like the book but that you did everything you could to make it right for him (refund and let him keep item) and you aren't sure what else you could have done and would he consider removing the negative.  But don't expect a response.

I'm curious if he filed a claim with eBay or just left the negative.  A lot of buyers will leave a negative first, to use as leverage, without filing a claim, hoping that the seller will do just what you did, gave him a refund and let him keep the item.   Sellers mistakenly think that if the give the buyer what they want, the buyer will reverse the negative, and that isn't always true.

Maybe eBay will remove the comment due to inaccurate info.   This is NOT a comic book.

Ebay should remover the Negative Feedback because I didn't do anything wrong. The item arrived on time and in good condition. A Full Refund was issued, and the buyer was allowed to keep the item. I did what I was supposed to do. If I did something wrong that deserved Negative Feedback. than that would be understandable. But I didn't do anything wrong. My reputation as a Seller is being damaged even though I didn't do anything wrong. Is that fair? I don't think Ebay is being fair with me.

@pf9000 It also is a review of the item not the buying experience. Should be given another glance to have removed. IMHO

Looks like your buyer revised the feedback to a neutral, better than a neg I suppose.
