You can't  go back and do over. Mystery isn't allowed. The description has to match the shoes.

eBay rarely reverses their decision. eBay isn't  the place to sell expensive items expecting to get paid right away.

So sorry that this happened to you

Forget about eBay for selling your items that avenue is now closed to you it seems

Some possible suggestions:

Have you looked into other selling websites ?

or maybe FBMP to get ready fast cash  to pay your bills?

Have anything a Pawn shop might want?

Hope that is helpful to you

Good luck to you

did they ask for and did you provide receipts  for 20 pair of new Nikes?

The fact that a new seller is selling items like this set off all kinds of red flags to ebay

the only thing I did wrong was put the word mystery in the description

It looks like you sold a collection of sneakers as Nike but admitted right in the listing that some of the pairs are probably not real Nikes. And you did that about eight times, not just once.

So the word "mystery" is not the only thing you did wrong, because (a) selling counterfeit shoes is illegal, (b) selling them on eBay is against policy, and (c) listing them on eBay as Nike violates policy.

You also replied to a negative claiming that eBay let two people win an auction, which does not happen.

While you are most likely right in this case some odd things do happen.

Like my "winning" bid disappearing last year, along with any record of me even making it.

@edwarstuar-1

Sorry for your situation.  However, being untruthful to your customers can be the kiss of the death on eBay.

Good luck with future opportunities.

You seem to think you are addressing eBay here, with your "yalls" and "you guys," but you are not.  This is a member-to-member forum.  No one from corporate eBay is here.  eBay even hires an outside company to maintain and moderate the forum.

As you to your plight, you selling days here are done.  This is the last time I saw so many red flags:

You can't say I have 6 as listed and then I'll send 14 other pairs I pick out.

If you are advertising 20 pairs of Nikes then you need to show all 20 they will get.

In reality I don't even want to leave an answer because I already know there will be a rebuttal and no matter what I say it's "but but but" as you're not listening to what the other sellers are trying to tell you.

That said...

You mean like the fact you stated you're an ebay seller for 7 years then later 6 years but looking at your profile it looks like you just started selling here in December of 2023...?  Inconsistency in the story isn't helping your case, but the biggest issue at stake seems to be the grab bag / mystery box violation.

I think the trap you fell into was needing money in a hurry, few sellers here I know of make enough to pay all their living expenses with just 1-2 hours of work a day. Most sellers here would work full time, 8+ hours a day 6-7 days a week and in many cases still struggling to make ends meet, others are part time like myself and it's merely pocket money. Most sellers here start out small, and learn to walk before they run because most sellers run into snags and trip themselves up along the way. So it is best to have room for defects and violations rather than incurring several all at once (which, three or more is usually where sellers are bid adieu).

So you got in a rush, and that's when the mistake(s) happened.

You may not know this but retail theft and brand name counterfeiting are among the most proliferous crimes being committed, and most of the wares resulting from those crimes are being sold online. It is thus sites like ebay watch their sellers like hawks when they're selling high dollar brand name items. They look for things that would tend to indicate the items might have been stolen or counterfeited, whether you did that or not and keeping in mind all criminals vehemently deny any wrongdoing, as well the fact you may have purchased these shoes from a less than reputable source or the source itself acquired the merchandise from a third party where the illegitimacy occurred.

Nobody here knows the truth behind it all, probably not even you and nobody has dared ask but how you got all these shoes for sale is a big question I am sure. Probably you thought all was legit and checked out but the world gets scammed so much that people have eagle eyes and are suspicious to a fault so that even if you acquired the shoes legitimately there's still this great suspicion.

That assumes you didn't go dumpster diving and/or some helpful employee at a big box store was lending a helping hand or who knows. I hate to go thinking of scenarios when I really haven't a clue but that is what is most likely going through the minds of the ebay detectives who are tasked to look out for high dollar sales because again any new seller making the beau coup bucks raises great suspicion.

That said if you can't get them to reinstate your account by providing them the information they seek then I'm afraid I will side with the rest of the sellers who said your days of selling here are most likely over.

Removing the word "mystery" from your listing doesn't change the fact you were selling mystery lots of shoes--this is not allowed.   We have to describe, and hopefully show, exactly what the buyer will receive.  It isn't a matter of just using the wrong word.
