Try clearing your cookies.
I have not encountered that yet. I have seen other posts where people did.

I did not experience that when searching for MODEL KITS. (zero issues) Try clearing your cookies out as simba6 has suggested.
Or Search, and then filter by subcategory for Automotive, or whatever it is you're looking for.

"Model kit" is too broad. How does eBay know whether you're searching for a Buick Riviera model kit or a Japanese girl model kit? I got both of those when searching the broad term.
Solution: Search, and then filter by subcategory for Automotive, or whatever it is you're looking for.

Model kit, all categories, 1,000,000+ results, first page 11 out of 60 results were naked ladies.😂

It is possible that AI may utilize search histories to narrow down search queries.
🤔

That is part of search issues, Item specific issues, That have been a BIG problem for to long a time!, It probably thinks your looking for models & not model kits!

We had a huge problem with this a couple of years ago in auto parts searches! I had documented many cases and actually spoke with some of the higher up management listed on the web page. Problem is that they really have no control over what is happening. They say its a big ship to steer...bla bla bla lol. Its a very simple programming/coding fix- naked pics should not be possible to even populate unless searching specifically in that category and or a popup (which ebay loves popups) confirms what you are about to see.
I do understand that if a seller lists in the wrong category or goes around the rules that it complicates this but hey - if the self proclaimed greatest tech company cant figure out how not to show children naked pics...... then whats the point?
BTW- i have not seen a naked lady listing at all during the last couple years while searching car parts so they did figure it out- it can be done.

I run a model car show. We get emails regularly asking us to provide female models for photo shoots.
Sending America's collectibles where they belong, one auction at a time!

Broad search did show it for me.
I checked some of them to see how they are listed and they appear to be within policy.
Category: Photography, Subject item specific: Nudes.
Interesting seems like they deal with reports and want to let you know they follow policy in the description.
I will say ebays language "suggestive" is pretty darn subjective.
Now I'll have to suffer a little while until eBay thinks I'm not interested anymore.

Ebay's directorate of sensitivity & enlightment upon receipt of a significant number of user complaints, likely can be counted upon to help in addressing this troubling issue & bringing about positive change.

One sub-category of model kits is "Figures", and naked ladies are often used as models for figures. It sounds like you need to use search more effectively.
That reply had nothing to do with my ability to use search. I merely entered what the op did to see what results I would get and then posted same.

Fine Art photography or ink jet paper will bring up a trove of graphic and explicit images in the search results.
The reporting system is terrible, too. If you click on the listing to report it, your splash page will then be littered with porn for the next while. Not to mention the fact that ebay's bots will respond with "this listing is fine."
Ebay just needs to invest in their software. It's pretty basic A.I. to recognize nudity and blur it or ban it if it's a clear violation of ebay's stated policy re: nudity. Or is ebay now fine with fully nude women legs spread wide open and hand spreading **bleep** wide open?
