NO SALES

Hi everyone,  This is Stockgirl12

I have one sale since 4/14/19.  I am a top seller with 100% feedback.  I used to make beteen $400 - $600 and more a month.  Now 0.  As far as I can see, knockoffs are being enabled.  They have no use for honest sellers if you don't make at least 5,000 sales.  One place has sold over 780,750 sales.  How is that.  They have already lost a good 50% of their long timers and I'm finding other sources as we speak.  Another problem is Sellers get no protection.  Ebay is forcing us to give our product away.  We good sellers can not compete with china that makes their product for 3 cents.  I know this because my husband is a packaging designer.  Has ran mac, clinique and so many more and in the industry for over 34 years.  I have been to china with him at least 6 times.  We know the deal.  3rd problem is Sellers don't stick together.  We try and outsell ourselves instead of sticking together.  We constantly have messages from ebay telling us to lower our price.  HEY, lets just give it away.  I'm out of here.  Hope I have at least inspired unity among sellers.

Same thing happened to me.  As you I have thousands of items I am not wasting my time putting on.  I have had some very silly people respond in very silly ways and then people like you going through this.  If your able to read some of my responses to them.  I think they are buyers that are like walmart shoppers.  Don't care about the country just get stuff as cheap as they can.  Knockoffs or not!

WOW  THANK YOU.  I'M CHANGING TO FREE SHIPPING.  As of result of your help, it's another day of calling ebay.  On my listing they have me as Promoted which when I checked it out, I never checked to promote.  Can't thank you enough

While I agree that it is clutter and needs to be removed, my impression is that the 2018 update to the search engine does not use information in the descriptions - it only uses information in the title and structured data.

You are not alone. I have been selling on eBay for l5 years! June was my all time worst month ever. .As of today,  I have 650 listings with wide range of prices & diverse merchandise, not just stuff in a  jewelry saturated market. No activity, crickets. Very discouraging & confusing. I sell offline to my repeat clients from my former store, & they LOVE my merchandise & they can buy ANYWHERE, so why are eBay buyers  indifferent? Or is it something in the system? I have 4x as many "watchers" as i've ever had, which is "odd". Or is that now there is no "urgency" to buy as the items stay up forever?  I don't think China competition is the only answer, as items in jewelry that are unique, are not in the China lineup.  Wishing you and me better days, as I love selling on eBay--people can say what they want about the competitors, but eBay is the BEST online shopping venue. I just want to continue to be part of it & enjoy my customers.

Sorry to get back to you so late.  Not enough hours in the day.  Trying to find a new home and out of ebay.  I agree.  Their system sucks.  Nothing but problems, changes etc.  We have no say in what we like and what we want.  I dropped down to a basic store.  Maybe I made 2 sales this month?  No way.  Gotta find a new home.

Thanks for the imput.  You are saying everything ebay tells us.  I don't buy it.  Had great sales before they started endorsing cheap imports from China.

Actually, The clippers and the Tweezer and the Curlers are my best sellers.  Sounds like you represent ebay

I certainly hope you are transitioning to selling elsewhere. I used to have a store and did pretty well on eBay as a side gig but the good times are long gone. No sales for me here anymore and as a result, I've removed most of my listings. Just started using a selling app and am now getting consistent sales with far less effort.

I'm afraid that I agree Coolections.   Your prices are very high. If your model is to make the largest profit per item then you you will undoubtably sell less. Me, I like the quick turn over...
