NEW Listing page layout! Thumbs UP!

Just saw the NEW Listing page layout show up on my account ... ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT! I zoomed out to get more of it on one screen just as an overall shot of it.  Very large main item pic, details to purchase & Seller info over on the right.

I wish they'd target their stupid ads begging us to use PLA to those who are interested.

Sick of their stupid splash screen blockers you have to see every.single.time. you log in with no freaking way to turn them off.

I wish they would add those arrows by the photos to show that there are more photos below or above the ones shown. 

They have those arrows that pop up if you mouse over, but it'd be nice if it was already shown for buyers who don't usually move their mouse there.

they updated the music category for vinyl this morning with new photo arrangement/layout. Made a new listing this morn, when I checked it via incognito widow the new layout and message showed up. 

I like it, the large photo shows full, click on it it zooms, click on it again goes back to full image view. Unfortunately, nothing else on listings changed really, the sponsored ads still retain the same stylesheet layout as has been, but IMO the photos are improvement - I'm on PC btw.

FUnny- i just checked on a vinyl record to see.  what i am shown is he original design BUT when you put your cursor over the pic on the left, a larger pic pops up over the listing info and is a zoom version that is slightly bigger and moves over the picture as you move your curser.  So it basically has the tiny thumbnail pics then the reg pic then the zoom pic all on one screen overlaying all the text.

    It ok i guess- no real difference to me but its all for nothing with the promoted listings still injected between pics and description!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

THAT IS WHAT IS WRONG WITH ALL THE DESIGNS EBAY

How many ways can your customers tell you that before you listen?   a classic simple and informative listing page highlight ALL seller information will drive conversion and sales. period

@siamjane8 the thumbnails have been, they just moved them over a bit to fit the larger pic view. But before you had to hover over the pic to zoom or click it to go to the photo, now it's full view, hover to zoom like before, but when you click it goes back to full view instead of photo frame. But again, I'm on PC, have the app never use it, as others stated, suspect the change is to be the "universal" so it looks better on mobile(?). Though agree, the rest of listing frame doesn't change, ads are still placed exactly as were before and if that will change idk, doubt it.

This new page has been been applied to some of my listings and some of the things I have searched for. Honestly, I hate it. So you have a giant photo, then scrolling down to find the description, you get a scroll stutter because of the giant photo. On my phone, the description is buried among ads for other items. On my PC it looks like the classified page of an old newspaper, a hundred stupid ads.

I guess eBay is going to just be like "shop by picture" now, so if you have anything important to say about the item, it likely won't be read and people will want to return stuff. Way to go eBay, make the site more dumb.

To me you CAN'T "zoom" in on the large picture to see details and a lot of times the enlarged picture is blurry.

idk, there is really no difference from the old to the new listing layout aside from the photo display, nothing else changed, and the photos work the exact same minus click large photo to go to scroll photo view. Still have to scroll past 2x rows of ads and then item specifics then description followed by large seller info with a few feedback and then a ton more ads. Sure it's not going to change much, most marketplaces I've been on are all pretty much same listing wise.

IT'S HORRIBLE... Between Capthchas...insisting I add my payment before offer is accepted AND THIS BLOATED PAGE VIEW... 3 HUGE ANNOYING CHANGES after using this site for 20 years I AM DONE. I WILL SHOP ELSEWHERE. I HATE ALL OF THE CHANGES.

I go to a seller's listing to see details of just that... NOT 'Similar sponsored items' stuffed in the middle of said listing!!

No sir, I'm scrolling through other people's buy it now items - no Buy it button. Yes, I've had my coffee and am fully awake. Possibly no smarter than 20 years ago but if I (as a long-time seller) cannot find a Buy button we're in trouble.

I don't care for the app version. The hub is on the bottom of the page. It drives me nuts.

Looks like they picked the design a week ago unless I'm just still just in a test?....... So stupid. There are actually MORE ads and promoted listings before the item description! Looks like the only two change was the picture display and moving the sellers info to the right of the screen on a PC.... Then PL, PL,PL, and more PL.  I was trying to do more shopping on eBay this past month and it proved to be more frustrating because it's nearly impossible to find the description in a clutter of promoted listing distractions. 

    Making it harder to make a purchase should not be the goal but you succeeded with these changes eBay- thanks. 

   I guess we are all in for less sales again in 2024. At this point I just wish someone would buy eBay and clean house and replace with people that have any online retail experience and web design know-how.....

When I'm looking at a listing I find I have to be extra careful and double check what I am actually buying.

Not what I would call a good "buyer experience". That would involve the search showing what I am looking for without any kerfuffle, and a clear ad without endless scrolling to find a description.
