Does anyone know why the notification email for a sale changes?
Is there a preference page where we can control what gets sent on the "you made the sale" email?
That's how it reads in the subject line now.
Yesterday it was "your sold item is ready to ship"
and last year in May it was simply "Your item has sold". and every time they change the subject line, they also shuffle around the information given in the body of the message
I like to print them to work on the order as I make the items I'm selling.
With this change, I can't get all the info I want on one page.
I need to have a sheet to work from as I make these things to order.
I also hate that the photo is never of the variation purchased (I already complained about this to ebay, still no change)
I could take a screen shot of the order at ebay and everything would be there including the correct photo, but god what a pain.

Either way, I dont look at them or use them, just move them, but the recent change irks me to no end, for no reason at all lol
@ajs_coins_and_alchemy I do that too, by year. Those are your invoices. They can be helpful if you're audited. That's why I do it. I don't want to print all those invoices, so I keep them all electronically organized in case the IRS ever needs them.

What the?
They are all legit sales
@costumeparts Yes. That's exactly what I pointed out. 9/2/22 in European format 2/9/22. They are printing them in EU date format. Which actually, a lot of countries, use, not just Europe, but the USA does NOT use that format.

I wouldn't assume that. They are having plenty of problems with these notification email.
With that said, I NEVER ship from or using what these emails tell me. I always go t my Seller Hub and then the Order Box for items that appear in "Awaiting Shipment". If they are there I know for sure it is a real sale and that the buyer has paid. Shipping from the email you are assuming this to be true.

I certainly agree, one should not depend on emails..........but, IF ebay sends them.............they certainly should be correct.....
As stated above.......some of the notifications I've gotten have been from "no reply" ebay. Those are correct in that there has been a sale......but the some of information within them has been incorrect. Why they are coming from 2 different addresses.......is obviously some kind of interior problem with programing.......

Who cares? Why waste time on it? Just ship right from the seller hub-awaiting shipments-boom ready to roll. Since I have to go to my storage unit down the road to ship I print a pick list & then print all my labels in order from lowest sku to highest & it takes be all of about 3-5 minutes depending. Their really is no need for the emails, just a waste of time, that of which we don't have a lot of.

I care, because I don't like signing into eBay just to see what's sold. Your answer is a waste of time
