My listing on another website

I recently sold one of my items and then I saw the exact listing, including my photos and description exactly, on another website. I understand buying and reselling, since that’s what I do, but I don’t take info word for word nor do I use others photos. Is this common? Is it some sort of automated buy and resell program?

Depending on the site, you can report for pic and text theft. Any chance you saw it on the River?

It’s on Atokshoper. I guess the bottom line is this person didn’t want me to know he is reselling by not putting it on eBay where I could easily see it. Makes no sense because many people buy and resell. Just not with the original info being copied.

You can send them and their ISP & webhost a DMCA takedown notice. Whois info from their registrar should show who the abuse contact is to send the notice. 

I've had reseller sites online use me as a drop-shipper... that doesn't bother me too much... but I've also had some sites that were distributing malware and participating in negative SEO that were scraping my info and using it on their own site to try to make their site look legit. I had to contact their registrar, ISP, webhost, and cloudflare to get their site taken down, and then google to have their indexes removed.

I pursued it because I did not want my name and brand associated with their illegal activities - malicious distribution of malware.

The vendors who are just reselling at a markup but not doing anything else nefarious are probably not worth the time.
