Did you mean:

My item is being resold

my item it is a one of a kind prototype. No other exists:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/175126987859?hash=item28c661c453:g:8XIAAOSwv8Vh4ZFr

it was denied entry to china at ebays kentucky global shipping ct (for those who do NOT use global

the item is not in china it is inspected in kentucky)

another seller has it:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/165343484952?hash=item267f3d5c18:g:d7kAAOSwKXxiD8tQ

he is not only using my photos he is selling MY item there is no other one...on the planet

it is a (failed) prototype designed by one man there are no others...NONE  i know this as fact.

the seller also copies my description tweeking it slightly.

how does this happen?

ebay says they are "investigating," not to sound sarcastic (ok i am) that usually means i can't find a solution on my screen so i'm forwarding this to somebody else

THIS HAS TO HAPPEN MORE THAN YOU KNOW

@buytodayshipnextday

The GSP refunds the buyer and keeps the item.

Then they resell it and they might use your photos and description.

Re: My item is being resold

The big question is how did it get from the GSC in Kentucky to Michigan. File a police report with the buyers local police department. I believe they are in Cass City, Michigan, report the item stolen through internet theft and the GSC. The city only has a population of about 2,300 people so the individual should not be hard to find.

File a complaint with eBay regarding the seller. The GSC is basically their freight forwarder contracted out to Pitney Bowes. Seller appears to be a long time eBay'er with tons of reviews.

Re: My item is being resold

Assuming there isn't a chance that they have your item for some reason. There are people that will outright copy stores. I've mostly heard of it with larger stores, but I suppose it's possible with smaller ones too (by large I mean 1,000+ items). Never bothered to really look into, but I'm guessing someone made software to do this.

I assume it's a form of drop shipping and they add a little on top. If someone actually buys from them, they possibly buy it from you to send to whomever. Could also be a way to scam people or money launder.

Not sure eBay can or will do much until someone tries to buy it. Even though you took the photos. They become eBay's property once you upload them to eBay. So in essence, the duplicate lister is taking eBay's photos, and they don't care.

The item was not stolen.  The seller was paid.

Re: My item is being resold

You were paid. It's no longer your item.  It belongs to GSP.  They sometimes return undeliverable items and refund the buyer but they're also allowed to refund the buyer and dispose of the item if it's  not deliverable.  If you want it buy it back.

Re: My item is being resold

Be glad it didn't make it to China.  Three months from now eBay would be flooded with "genuine 1934 prototype" dictaphones at the incredible price of $19.99  😠

Re: My item is being resold

Nothing nefarious going on here. Since the item could not be shipped internationally, the buyer and seller are made whole by eBay and the confiscated item then goes to a contracted seller to recoup their losses.

The GSP resells confiscated items.

Here's an article about the reseller:

Interesting.  So who is 8ten?

Only nefarious if they are an ebay employee.

Probably some guy with a contract to buy all of this stuff from eBay/Pitney Bowes/whoever

Most likely.  I sure hope so.  Otherwise, it looks pretty bad.   Man, he/she has a LOT of listings, including a beautiful fur that was probably confiscated.  I don't wear fur anymore, but it's a very nice quality one for a pittance & I'm drooling.

Re: My item is being resold

Sounds like the guy in Michigan found GSPs liquidator.

Kentucky and Michigan are less than a day's drive apart.

The liquidator may not even be in KY.

Like those people who buy pallets of AZ returns.

Re: My item is being resold

You need to take some time and read about how GSP works. If the item is seized by GSP, the buyer and the seller are both paid. GSP is then allowed to dispose of the item as they see fit.

You agreed to this when you accepted the Terms and Conditions of using GSP on your listings

  1. Item Eligibility. Not all listings on eBay.com are eligible for GSP. eBay reserves the right at any time, in its sole discretion, with or without notice to you, to alter or amend the eligibility requirements for GSP Items, including, but not limited to, limits on the number, type, category, and/or value of items and/or transactions. You agree not to purchase any ineligible items through GSP. More information about ineligible items may be found here. You agree that if any item is found to be ineligible, Pitney Bowes will have no liability and will have, in its discretion and in any manner that it prefers, the right to dispose of or liquidate the ineligible item, including without limitation (A) returning the item to the Seller, (B) handing over the item to the authorities, or (C) destroying the item. Pitney Bowes is authorized to open and inspect any GSP Item without notice."

@blingfling123

I knew that & yet it would still surprise me to find another seller, selling my item with my pics & description.  You'd think they wouldn't want to obscure this more.
