I don't think ebay is helping me sell my items, I have over 1200 items listed and sold 2 last week, not even enough to cover the fees, why?
I sell in all categories, so it's not that
I have very competative pricing, so it's not that
I have 100% feed back, so ir's not that
I offer free shipping, free returns, free anything, so it's not that
I go out of my way to help and provide service to my customers, so it's not that
I use promotions and auctions, so it's not that
Last week, I listed over 150 auctions and only one sold for under $10
So, what is it?

A lot of us are going through the same thing. I haven't sold an item in almost 3 days and had just barely enough to cover feebays monthly charge. They took every dime that I owned.
Lowering the prices on my items has done nothing. A lot of my items are at the top of the list in Ebay's search engine.
Ridiculous!

Maybe the buyers who come to eBay just don't want the item you are selling?
Without seeing your listings, we can't really offer much help.

As luckythewinner pointed out, it is hard to give you any real suggestions without seeing your inventory and listings ... but here's a bunch of stuff that I'm just pulling out of the air for you

I myself am down about 30% from this time last year. I notice I have better sales when I focus on fewer categories and have less than 800 or so items. I feel like buyers start to lose interest when there is too many pages to look at.

Year by year I see sales going down. It's just the fact that more and more sellers are coming. One that holds till many dies will be successful. 😛

So, you are expecting EBAY to help you?

Ebay DOES NOT help you sell your items. You are on your own.You list at a reasonable cost. You list items buyers want. THAT is what will help you sell your items. If you sell clothes, jewelry or sports cards you are out of luck, too many already listed. For every item that sells in those categories you have a 1/1000 chance of being the lucky seller.
