On April 15th my account was hacked and put my eBay account around $18,000.00 in the negative. The next day Ebay deleted all of my listings. Those listings totaled around $229,000.00 worth of merchandise. I was on chat with EBay for over 6 hours. I tried to start relisting on a new account and EBay won’t upgrade that account to the same as my old account which was premium. Without me having to pay out of pocket. Even though I was instructed not to list on my old account. I haven’t heard a word about my old account from eBay since the day it was hacked. I cant seem to get any help at all. Has anyone else had this issue? How or what did you have to do to have it resolved. I’ve already lost all of my listings and have to start all over from scratch.

I show that you have 8 current listings.

My suggestion would be to reach out on social media through facebook:
https://www.facebook.com/eBayForBusiness/
The CS reps who you were communicating with usually aren't a good source of info or as to why this happened.
This link provides accurate info from credible US agents who work for ebay and could probably better serve you.
Many positive results and posts here on these boards with their ability to be helpful. Best of luck getting this resolved.
PS Do panty hose really go for $100 these days? Wow, I must be out of the loop. All the best.

My guess is the OP has 'placeholder prices' on the listings. I know for a fact that the fluorescent socket isn't worth anywhere near $100. $4-$5 at most. But hey, who am I to say what they price their stuff at. If they get those prices more power to 'em!

Why does a person have to use the highly questionable business practices of Mark Zuckerberg to get service from eBay?

Thanks for the reply! Haha unfortunately that one pair of panty hose will never sell lol I just left the account as is and the bogus pricing. The hacker relisted all of my items for 99 cents and then I tried to change the prices so nothing would sell. Then everything else just ended up getting deleted.

I would echo trying to contact on Facebook.........but would also try to exert some patience......it's not going to be cleared up over night......

I agree with you on that thought. However, it seems to have worked for many people here who were getting no where with ebay's cs. I certainly wouldn't recommend them. Why this link and the twitter for ebay have been deemed the better customer service outlet is beyond me. I'm sure ol' Zuck is making a nice profit from this option,no doubt. 😊

I wish! But you are correct. While I was waiting that 6 hours for eBay to actually put a security lock on my account. Everything was relisted for 99 cents. So to avoid any more 99 cent sales I ended my listings and started relisting them all at prices they wouldn’t sell for in order to try and transfer them to another account. Before I was able to transfer anything. Out of the blue eBay just deleted everything that was 99 cents and left all of the other listings that weren’t. Not ended. Just completely deleted them. I only had time to change around 8 listings . After that I just stopped messing with it for legal reasons.

Have you reported your account as hacked or did you just call CS and talk to a random rep?
Opening a new account before dealing with the hacked account will likely lead to the second account being flagged. Deal with the first account and be sure that account is secure.
None of us know why we have to go through Meta to get help on eBay, but we offer it as an option because it seems to work for many people. By suggesting folks to use that platform, we aren’t necessarily agreeing with or trying to promote the platform.
Personally, I haven’t figured out why so many companies use FB in this way. Why do we go to FB for help, but have to warn people not to connect FBMP listings to an eBay transaction.
Since it can’t be what it isn’t, it is what it is.

That is such a good reply, straight and to the point.
I was curious as to how the OP got hacked in the 1st place but they replied hacking of his prices to 99 cents. How in the world could this have happened?

They don't have to. They also have the option of using the highly questionable business practices of Elon Musk.

Did you call your bank to let them know you were hacked? Credit cards linked to any e-Bay buying or selling accounts? Call them?
Did you have Duo push to access or use ordinary passwords?
Why would you set up a 2nd account without e-Bay's permission or direction?

@dnasilver I'm not convinced that its an urban myth that you get better CS service by going through FB. Its all probably routed to the same people.
