My account vanished, eBay is no help.

Been dealing with this issue for over a month now. I have been selling on eBay for over 15 years, I recently moved to the nightmare of Managed Payments. I started to notice strange things, getting charged for shipping twice, funds not adding up right in my payouts, etc. I contacted eBay many times about this to no avail. Suddenly I was told my payouts are on hold and I have to verify my bank account again. PITA but I did it. Still a hold on my payouts a for a week. I contacted eBay every day with no one able to resolve. Suddenly I was not able to log in to my account. My credentials are saved in my browser so it's not like I was typing things in wrong. On the phone with eBay again and I'm being told my account can not be found and there is no account associated with my email address... WTH! I have has the same email with eBay since I first signed up. No one is can tell me what is happening, its like I'm a ghost. I have records of payouts, payments, emails, etc. from ebay that I have sent them, proving I'm not crazy and I did have an account. Nothing. On top of all that I had $1100 sitting in my payouts. This is insane. Has anyone dealt with this or have any advice?

Yo man, I'm sorry you got dragged through the mud here. This board is crazy toxic. The attitude of many posters here are - if it didn't happen to them, it's not a real issue. Reading all these replies is disappointing, any other community boards I visit are super supportive and helpful. These folks are blaming you, accusing you, and even making fun of you. Not sure how there seems to be no moderators on this board.

eBay should be interested due to a possible inside job to steal money:

IRS, as such has been used to hide income for a company again inside job and got the wrong account...

Your state attorney office also might be of help...

Maybe even FBI..... they have trained accountants and would wounder what was going on with this...

Please don't make us out to be the bad guys her. We are more than happy to help the OP but we need more info.  The people her want to help.  We love solving a good mystery. But this story sound  like fiction to me.   So much so that i truly believe it isn't true.  Just my opinion. 

And even if it were true, the OP is not asking the right questions.  Here's an example.  If it were me and ebay told me my account does not exist, i would tell then it DOES exist, the account number is this. What do you show for the account number? Simple. Did the OP ask that question? We don't know because he refuses to give us any info. 

If it were you in his shoes, would you let it slide while they "look in"  to the matter and then come on the boards a month later to complain  about it?  I don't think so. Neither would i.

OP categorically refused to give us any information to help them, not even said username that supposedly disappear. Only after they balked at giving us any hints to steer us in the right direction did we start doubting the veracity of OP's claims.

It's not that since it never happened to us, it didn't happen, it's that NONE of the regular responders who have altogether decades of experience have never seen this happen.

Your post reads like a conspiracy entitled The Nightmare of Managed Payments.

You are saying that after you entered Managed Payments, strange things started to happen, then your payouts were withheld, then you could not log into your account, then your account disappeared without a trace, so thoroughly wiped away that even all the ebay specialists could only say, no, no account ever existed.

Strange indeed.

The reason people want examples of sales or your user name is to help.

If all you want to know is if this has happened to anyone else I say not to me and I have never heard of an account disappearing.

Good luck  but nobody can help without some help from you.

Gimme a break. You guys "love a good mystery" is exactly the problem here. You're not Scooby and the gang. You think you pulled the mask off the old man, "aha! it was old man Miller the whole time!"

The guy came on here, explained his issue and asked if anyone has heard of this happening and if you have any info on situations like this. Maybe the guy had become paranoid to give his user name based on what he is going through right now, ever consider that? We all know people here are not going to be able to solve these kinds of issues, he just came here to see if he could get more info. And instead everyone s**t on the guy because they didn't get what they wanted from him. Called the guy a liar, called the guy a drunk, called the guy senile.  If you don't have an answer or advice, keep it moving.

Suspended account become NARU'd. If your user/email says not found, normally it means your account got compromised by a hacker.

People tell you to contact eBay Facebook, because they have a good reputation.

From what I heard, employees on there got more authorities on each cases, so they look into issues more closely. I'm assuming eBay customer service's power is very limited to prevent any abuse, which is probably why they tend to give out different responses and pass you to another department.

Maybe I was reading a different thread, but I saw links being posted to help the OP if his account was hacked. That would not require him to answer questions but steer him in the direction of solving his problem, if in fact his account was hacked and his user name was changed.

Even is the OPs account was hacked and the password AND username was changed, that can be tracked. They'll be a record of it. There's old feedback. There would have been ebay fees/payments made to the account.  There would be a account number.  Every past order, every past payment will have a order number attached to it. Those things can't happen is there is no account.  Those things can't just disappear.  I call **bleep**.  

With $1100 in his account,  the OP is going to sit back while they "look in to it" for a month.  Would you do that?   Again, i call **bleep**.
