Multiple shipping options not showing in listings?

Hi. Quick question if anyone knows the answer.

Wasn't sure if to post this in 'selling' or 'shipping', but assumed since it was a 'not working with listings' question, here would be more appropriate.

I've noticed the past half year or so, when I allow multiple shipping options in my listings, i.e., 1st-Class for free shipping (items under 1 pound), and Priority for a charged shipping amount, my listings only show ONE option under the shipping tab.

I just added a listing and have those TWO options in the listing creation, but when I look at the displayed listing afterwards, and go to the shipping tab, it only lists ONE shipping option.  I don't know what it does when people buy something and go to checkout, because of course I don't buy my own items 🙂

Any thoughts on this?

This is an official, specific eBay policy: They will show the more expensive shipping option only if eBay's own estimated delivery date is faster.

I reviewed the link you sent.  Doesn't make total sense to me, I'd still rather give the people the option to choose which shipping method they'd like, but there are a lot of policies in eBay I question!

I just noticed this on my listings this morning.  The only difference I have made recently is updating to an eBay store on Feb 1st.  Last month, two shipping options were still showing up on my listings.  Today it seems like the first option is the only one showing up.  I'm curious to know if someone adds my item to their cart first, if they will see both options at check-out.  I only list Buy It Now.

I know this is an old post, but just this morning, (as a buyer) was frustrated they are doing this. I used to be able to pick 3/4 day shipping all the time. I would be mad as a seller that they took this option away, because I have to change who I buy from because the cost will be cheaper for the same thing I'm wanting, even though I may have wanted to buy from another seller. I hope sellers start raising heck about this. It shouldn't be Ebays place to make that decision. Rant over, just thought you should know how a buyer sees this issue. 🙂
