I have a brand new ebayer (joined yesterday) that purchased 6 items from me.
They were all purchased and paid for separately.
All are going to the same address.
Shipping is 'free' (yeah, right)
Is there any potential pitfalls to shipping these all together? I.e., INR scams, etc.? Ebay protections?
If I DO ship them all separately, what is the advantage? Obviously shipping cost is the disadvantage....
Or does it not matter as far as shipping TO the customer? I can't think of a scenario where it would matter if I shipped them together or separately...
Thanks!

I just did this an hour ago. I insured a package for $565.00. Sellers can not disable it, as this is a USPS requirement, due to the insured value.
Are you sure it's real sig conf and not the fact that anything insured for over 500.00 requires a signature anyway? That's 2 separate things. The signature required for insured items over 500.00 isn't viewable online, and sig conf is.
This is no longer true. When a seller purchases USPS insurance through eBay labels and the amount is greater than $500.01, the Signature Confirmation that is included is now viewable and sent to your email account by the USPS, by signing up for the "Proof Of Delivery" email.
As an example I shipped an item via the USPS on Tuesday 01-16-2018 that was insured for an amount that was greater than $500.01, so Signature Confiramtion was included with the purchase of the USPS Insurance. That package was delivered today Friday 01-19-2018.
The signature of the buyer was made availble to me via the USPS Tracking web page, using the "Proof Of Delivery" tab. I entered my first and last name as well as my email address. The buyers signature was then sent to me via email in less than 3 minutes. A PDF is located at the bottom of the email. Here are 2 screenshots with the buyers identity blurred out to maintain their privacy.

You could always do that. Doesn't mean that ebay or PP will accept it, though. After all, it's another step for CS.

The insurance signature is NOT the same as Signature Confirmation. You had to request the signature and you got a scanned copy. It's not online viewable.
If your item is over $750, that's not going to work

But don’t you see.....eBay has to be able to See the signature when they track the package. They won’t go through the hassle of requesting those documents. If they can’t view the signature on the USPS website, the seller is toast.

ANOTHER HOUR OF WASTED TIME ON THE PHONE WITH EBAY IM SURE.
There is a way to get a combined shipping label for multiple seperate purchases which will automatically upload the tracking number to ALL purchases. (There often seems to be a hitch with manual upload of tracking to multi-purchase when only one label is pulled from just one of the transactions)
You have to use Bulk Shipping - check off ALL items that you're going to purchase a label for and select Print Shipping Label. The next page [bulk page] will say XXX can be combined - Do you want to combine? Pick yes (obviously). That's all it takes. You'll need to fill in the weight/service again
Unless the buyer used guest checkout, that should work just fine.

I agree. I woukd ship separately. Sometimes I order things & I want them shipped separately for my own reasons, free shipping or paid shipping doesn’t matter but usually I’m paying shipping. Inevitably the seller will ship together, frustrating

I am not going to read all the responses to this.
Just go to paypal, and add the tracking # there.
After a while it will show in eBay. Been there, done that many time.
No need to call CS to get 6 different stories.

Then how do you purchase the real "Signature Confirmation" using eBay Label. Because anytime I have purchased USPS Insurance with an amount greater than $500.01 it always converts the Signature Confirmation from the cost of $2.45 into FREE, even if I check the Signature Confirmation box.
Here is a screen shot for the label of a package that I shipped today insured in the amount of $545.00. I purposefully selected "Signature Confirmation" so that I would be covered with eBay, OR SO I THOUGHT.

Well, thats odd - and makes sense, but I wouldn't want to bet on it being accepted by ebay or paypal if you have to have the pdf sent to you(and not have it show up in tracking as 'signed for by joe buyer').
This could get ugly.

Can you point me to the page were eBay states that the buyer's signature must be viewable on USPS's website?
I have never had a buyer file an INR case against me in my 10 years here, so maybe I am being naive.
I have always assumed that if a buyer did file an INR case against me that I would just upload a jpeg scan of the letter that USPS sends me with the buyer's signature, to the that particular case's details, and I would be covered.
Would a jpeg scan of the "Proof Of Delivery" letter from the USPS with the buyer's signature not be sufficient to prove that the item was in fact delivered and received by the buyer?

Another point for shipping together: save the environment by not using so many boxes and packaging materials.
That's great, but if I want multiple items from the same seller, I'd buy them from a seller who charges shipping and who conbines shipping for a discount.

Unfortunately, those can be edited.
I wouldn't want to put it to the test. But by your screenshot above, it seems there isn't a choice anymore.
Somehow I think that's by design ................

I have always printed a hard copy of the letter that the USPS sends and keep it with the other paperwork from that particular transaction.
As I stated in my last reply

I have always assumed I would be "Lock Tight" as far as eBay is concerned should an INR case be opened against me, but I will be the first to admit that my assumption could be wrong, and now I have doubts.

I do it all the time and I've never had a problem with it.
