I’m trying to boost my sales before I fall below standard in February. I’m wondering if I list something with multiple quantity and someone buys multiple at a time does that count as a single transaction? Or does the quantity purchased count as the number of transactions?

Single transaction if bought at the same time from the same listing.

~~C~~
That makes things so much harder...Not like eBay will even let you list the same thing multiple times separately.

When counting transactions for calculating feedback percentages, multiple separate transactions from the same buyer on the same day are counted as one.
I would not be surprised if the transaction counts for calculating seller status are treated the same way.

But if a buyer gets say 5 quantity of one thing in a single transaction does that count as 5 for feedback percentages?

_______
No. Qty 5 of the same item, purchased together, is 1 invoice line. You get 1 feedback per line item. (If the buyer leaves feedback on an order with 3 line items all at the same time, the 3 feedbacks only count as 1 on the percentage)
I am pretty sure that transaction counts are per buyer invoice. 1 invoice=1 transaction ... no matter how many items are on the invoice.
