Mini rant!

Last October (2016) I sold a Xmas Village item to a buyer who didn't read the description, thought he was getting  a full-sized item, and instead of returning it, gave me a totally undeserved neutral feedback.  It timed out and was removed at the end of October.  Yesterday I get another neutral that reads "cute (item). Thank you".  I have to live with it for another year.  I know it doesn't mean anything, I know people who care about feedback will read it for what it is.  I'm still annoyed!

Thanks!  I am now a tiny bit less irritated!

Re: Mini rant!

Congrats on doing so great with so few problems that your biggest irritation is a neutral feedback.

Re: Mini rant!

What I sell is not subject to fit, like clothing, not subject to major scams like electronics.   My problems are few and far between.  Yes, I am lucky in that regard, but it is also because of the type of items I sell.

Re: Mini rant!

Maybe I am just dense, but I don't get why a FB that says, "Cute. Thank you." would be a problem.

Is there some hidden meaning in those words?

Because those words came with the "neutral" designation rather than a positive.

Re: Mini rant!

To some of us, 'cute' isn't a compliment!  Smiley Surprised  Smiley Wink  Smiley Sad

Not saying 'NO' doesn't mean 'YES'.

The foolishness of one's actions or words is determined by the number of witnesses.

Perhaps if Brains were described as an APP, many people would use them more often.

Re: Mini rant!

I get it. I would be annoyed too.

Forget about them, that is, once they're on your 'best buddy' list. 🙂

Congrats on the sale, you still have THEIR MONEY.

You win!

Re: Mini rant!

Oh, believe me, she is on that list!

And cute is not my favorite word either, but I do sell things that are "cute" collectibles.  In my store in southern New England, I hear them described as "cunnin" every day.  My grandmother, who was from central New Hampshire, used that word a lot.

Re: Mini rant!

I had a buyer not read the listing and purchase a porcelain miniature house and apparently expected a full size.  Left a negative comment.  I sent them a polite note stating that if they were unhappy in any way they could request a refund and I'd happily refund their money and pay for return shipping.   No response, followed up a week later, no response.  No accounting for some people.

Did your listing offer measurements or anything to show the scale?

That's it!  But sometimes there is another word in the middle - starts with pi and ends with ah!

And the item that my last year's buyer was upset with did have measurements in the description.

Mary:

It's because it is a neutral.  Neutrals are viewed as negatives.
