Markdown Manager

The new markdown manager sucks.  You know I don't do anything fancy.  I just wanted to add 2 items to a current sale.  Everything was going ok till I got to the end and couldn't find where to set the end date & time.  Everything is easy when you know how to do it.  Still sucks.

Re: Markdown Manager

That's because you're using the more than 500 at a time option which is also the one which adds any new listings that for the sale criteria.

As far as I'm concerned the "new & improved" version is a hot mess.

Re: Markdown Manager

Also notice that there is no option to send an email to our followers about the sale, which is normally an option at the bottom of the old markdown manager.  Are they automatically sending emails???  My sales are down 33% compared to last year and I KNOW it is from this new markdown manager.  I have absolutely NO SALES recorded on the markdown manager records with the new tool and  I ALWAYS had sales recorded when I would put something in markdown manager with the old tool.  eBay should just put the new tool on hold and give us back the old tool!  I guess they want to fail and let the other seller organizations take over......

Re: Markdown Manager

I'm with you. I think they should roll this back and let sellers choose whether they want to use the MDM & Manage Promotions the way we did before or opt in to use the "new & enhanced" version.

Re: Markdown Manager

Yes, and 500 maximum IS stupid. I wanted to discount nearly 1,000 items, so I had to initiate sales on two consecutive days. Ah, well.

Re: Markdown Manager

Completely agree.  Want to put a simple discount on my items to catch the eye of buyers. Could they make it any more complicated?!?  It's like doing a complex calculus equation!!  Seriously.

Re: Markdown Manager

just happened to me, drove me crazy! I called Ebay and it took them over half hour to find the reason! When you add sale as ,
Create rules using categories
Changing how you select inventory removes any inventory you've already added.
10,000 items per promotion
Set rules using categories or filters.
We'll include skipped items as they qualify and new items as they're listed.
Items can be removed at any time.

Re: Markdown Manager

I agree.  It's USELESS!   AND....The sale does not show to the customer.  I kept trying and trying and re doing and re doing only to find out it doesn't show the markdown in the price.  You have to go to the bottom of  your page and see the items on sale.  So after your customer scans through your thousands of items they have to scan YET AGAIN!!!!!  If a customer does not see that it's on sale what in the holly hell is the purpose????
