Timeline:
- Jan 4th sold 51 items
- Jan 4th received MC011 restriction
- Jan 5th submitted ID, bank statement, and receipts
- Jan 7th eBay asked for additional information (receipts for two items)
- Jan 8th submitted invoices for the two items
- Jan 8th 45 minutes later received email with permanent restriction
I was randomly permanently suspended after receiving and submitting required information from a MC011 restriction. I am ready baffled by this whole experience the last few days. I realize that MC011 restriction has to do with being automatically flagged for an increase in sales volume. This happened to be two years ago and I got my account back a few days later. However, this time, for some reason I was permanently banned after submitting the information. Based on the email on Jan 7th where they asked for additional information for the two items, that implies that my ID, bank statement, and the other orders submitted were not the issue. The provided receipts were invoices from Target and a Shopify site order confirmation. Everything was legitimate. Additionally, I have over 250 orders, 100% feedback, and zero issues with any order over the last two years. As always, eBay support is useless via chat and phone. They simply just read off a script claiming this is irreversible. I am currently waiting for a callback from a manager but I have very low expectations.
Any suggestions on what I should do?

I love it! Am reading it online right now, 😁
"We find that whole communities suddenly fix their minds upon one object, and go mad in its pursuit; that millions of people become simultaneously impressed with one delusion, and run after it, till their attention is caught by some new folly more captivating than the first. "

This supposedly explains the Stanley cup craze. I haven't had a chance to read it yet.

That's a good one! FB page has been moved to a useless site...eBay!

Why on earth you would EVER provide a sensitive document such as your bank account to eBay is beyond me. I too received the dreaded MC011 after 15 years faultless eBay sales. I used THEIR postage service and uploaded everything required. It seems I now have to wait until ALL current sales are settled and delivered before they will even consider lifting the restriction. This despite the fact nothing has ever gone missing! Additionally, one customer left two negative feedbacks in a row because I refused to refund him months after he received merchandise with a two week return window. My consignor had been paid, and buyer should have been aware of that fact, plainly stated. On top of that, when I disputed the negative...no action was taken.
I sell millions of dollars worth of merchandise via Braintree (owned by PayPal/eBay) alone - eBay is for fun. Now I am leaving both platforms because eBay has no concept of how to treat its sellers. Adios!
