MC011 Invoice requested

Hi ebayers, 

 So my account was hit with a MC011 last month after selling a $6k camera. Initially 

Ebay requested that I provide proof of delivery for all my sales which I promtly provided. Then I heard nothing back for over a month! After over a dozen phone calls they get back to me saying that they need proof of purchase for recent sales.  The only problem is that roughly half my sales are personal items I've had for years the other half are repairs and resells from mostly Mercari, and some from ebay. 

I submitted the invoices 2 days ago and haven't heard back yet. I really hope it's not going to take another month! 🙏🤞  So my question is about the Mercari invoices. Is ebay not going to accept reciepts from a competitor?  What do you guys think???  Any info or advise would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!!!

You mean after the sale and after Ebay collected the thousands of dollars and you shipped it THEN they decide to look at the item's legitimacy and keep your funds?

How can anyone do business on this platform?

IF the invoices from Mercari are of the type they want to see, I think they will accept them, competitor or not. 

Since I assume the invoices are something a human has to look at, a several day wait is to be expected.  Did you get anything from eBay noting that they received the info they asked?

Try reaching out on social media via Facebook.  These are US CS agents who are employed by Ebay and may be able to better serve you and get your account back on track.  Many positive posts here on this forum with their ability to be helpful.

Yes. eBay doesn't care where or from whom you bought the items, as long as the receipts meet their criteria.

yes after ebay collected payment the item was shipped and they hit me with the MC011 the day I was supposed to get paid. It's extremely frustrating that they waited for me to ship the item before hitting me with the MC011. The buyer left positive feedback a month ago!

I haven't recieved any kind of confirmation that ebay is reviewing the documents.

Of course we're interested! This issue comes up a lot, so it's always great to have the input of someone who has experienced the process.

There was a seller who posted just the other day, for example, about a receipt that didn't meet eBay's criteria because s/he had bought the item in a "lot" with other items, and the receipt didn't specify the individual items in the lot.

Here's my last update on the topic. My invoices from Mercari got denied because they were not detailed enough. I called and email Mercari and contrary to what ebay claims there is no other invoice availible. So I called ebay one last time and explained what mercari told me. The rep took 10 mins going over the submitted documents and said they looked good. She also told me exactly what to say in my reply to the denial message. 

I followed her advise to a T and she assured me that my account would be reactivated within 72 hours.  My account was not only not activated it got perminately revoked!

I am at a loss for words at the blatant disrespect ebay has for its sellers. At this point if they did end up reactivation my account I'd tell them to F off. Ebay is still holding over $6K in sales. They have refused to release my funds reps have stated various reasons that I'm sure are all lies made up on the fly...

I’ve never ever heard it gone this way before. I’m sorry you had to deal with this. I’m going through an MC011 myself and I’m starting the appeal process.
