Hello there,
I've never posted here before but I'd like some feedback. What do you all do when a buyer lies on you? For example, a buyer sent me receipt and a picture of the item they bought from me but then said to Ebay that they haven't received there package.

" sent you a receipt?" Did they produce the legit ebay item number?

If you sent it with tracking and it shows it was delivered you are good. They have to open up an item not received case if they are saying they didn't get it. Then you add the tracking with proof of delivery. DO NOT REFUND THEM! You can contact eBay and request a callback if you need more help. I REPEAT, DO NOT REFUND THEM!

As said, if tracking shows delivered/.....you have no problem......
But I would caution against declaring a buyer a liar because they say they haven't received it......in the few NR cases I've had......on some, a family member got the item and put it somewhere and forgot to tell the buyer.....also, even tho tracking shows delivered......carriers can/do misdeliver to a wrong address......

Hi
First off, calling a buyer a liar is unfounded. The postal system in this country has never been worse, yet they continue to raise their prices. Go figure. If you provided a tracking numbers, as others have advised, you should have no problem and will be in the clear. If no tracking was provided, that's going to be a problem. You need to communicate with your buyer professionally and work with them. No name calling. You're a new seller with a no returns policy? That's also going to hurt you. All buyers have a 30 day money back guarantee for what ever reason. No returns does not mean no refunds. If this person states they didn't receive the item, tell them to open an INR case and then insert the tracking number, if you have one. This is all I can advise.
Good luck and Happy Selling

Did no one read anything I said? They sent picture PROOF they received the package. Read before trying to be rude. I'm going to call someone a liar when they sent PROOF.

eBay won't accept pictures as proof. I can guarantee you they won't. They need the tracking number. Again if the buyer files an INR, insert the tracking number. No one here is trying to be rude. They are trying to advise you. Name calling is rude.

There is a tracking number...

That's great, just tell this person to file a INR, insert the number and you'll be good to go.
Wishing you a positive outcome with this situation.
Happy Selling

Sometimes people don't understand what someone means in a post.
For instance
There is a tracking number...
doesn't tell us whether it shows delivered, though you may mean it shows delivered....we have no way of knowing that.
The proof thing wasn't understandable to me.......why would they send you a picture that "proves" receipt?......the only reason I can think of is that they were claiming damage or NAD, but you didn't mention anything about that..
I'm sorry if we were mistaken about your problem, but hope you understand a bit of our confusion.

If they "told eBay the didn't get it" but didn't open up a case don't do anything. I would contact eBay through request a callback. Some buyers are truly liars. I have dealt with some total liars over the years. Tracking is what saves you. If it shows it delivered you are safe and not liable for anything

Ebay eventually ended up calling me and actually laughed at the issue. They said, "you wouldn't believe how many times this happens, but you have nothing to worry about." I'm not one to go out of my way and call someone a liar, but I am when I know I'm a good person and would never screw anyone over an item they bought from me.

Hope this all works out well, but keep in mind that CS will generally agree with anything that you say, but may in the end "fail you".
CS is not responsible for anything that they say to you, and often even when written.......... they are not responsible.

Glad it worked itself out for you mandadbaker1993
It is easily to get frustrated when buyers try to take advantage of a deal and you did the right thing by not reacting to them. With buyers like this, i would not leave them any feedback (although you can only leave positive anyways) and if you do, keep it professional. Many get caught up and will leave feedback that is less than flattering which may give future buyers an opinion which may not be accurate.

You still need to re-enter that tracking number into any case that comes up on your account when a buyer files an ITEM NOT RECEIVED CASE. RE-ENTER THAT NUMBER AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
