Good Morning!
Has anyone else experienced low or no sales since the war began in Ukraine? Up until now my sales have been fairly cyclical in that I would enjoy a week to 10 days of strong sales followed by a week of low sales. I was on the back side of the low sales period - meaning I was due for some good sales now - when all of them simply died. Nothing. It's as if someone turned off a spigot. This happened right about the time the war in Europe started. So, I'm wondering if one is connected to the other. Anybody else experiencing this? Thanks for your feedback!

In the early days of eBay, I shipped to Ukraine & Russia all the time.
No Tracking, no Buyer ever claimed not rec'd.
The good old days.

Ebay sales have been very slow. I almost think since eBay and Paypal parted ways. I wish eBay would allow us to have a $ balance like Paypal used to. I hate getting these payments each week that I have to log into my checkbook. I never thought twice about buying items off ebay as long as I had that Paypal balance to draw from and pay for it. Now I, like I think many other sellers, have not bought anything off ebay in months. Just another hassle of putting it on a credit card that I will get a bill for down the road. I think this hurt sales.

Yes my sales have tanked significantly! I can't figure the reason.

Yep, same here. Very low sales and not typical at all. Inflation and the hit at the gas pump and all the uncertainty that this war brings may have been involved.

I've had 0 sales for at least a month now. Very low views/watchers. This time last year I was selling very similar items from my Grandparents house clearance and was getting a sale a day at least. Just tumbleweed now lol

Thank you for your response. Yes, I noticed the low views/watchers is the first sign of low sales to come.

well if you believe everything you read in these forums, low/no sales has been on going for...oh, about 20+ years now...uh let me see...there were blizzards, icy roads, floods, protests, hurricanes, tsunamis, wildfires, drought, water shortages, blackouts, a pandemic, site glitches and so forth and they have all been blamed for low sales/no sales...

Yes it did the same for me too on E-Bay. Before the war I sold a lot of items and since the war it is on a dead end and no more sales.

Yeah, mine was doing better than last year at this time, then just quit. I went from at least 15 sales a week to 2 in two weeks. I don't know if it's the Ukraine conflict or what, but it needs fixed now.

Yes, the lack sales is very noticeable! We keep about 750 items listed for Buy-Now and our sales have plummeted. We used to do one or two per day, and always several over the weekend, and since the war started, sales dropped and stopped. We went 6 days without a single purchase. Then someone bought a less than $10 item, and now we are at day four of no sales at all again. I think are comments about war and uncertainty are correct. Also wondered if devout people stop buying things for themselves during Lent.

Mine hasn't changed. The same average daily sales of my massive existing trading card inventory and the same usual spikes of the good stuff that sells immediately whenever I get new merchandise.

Thank you for your response. The shopping pullback due to Lent is an interesting angle. Never thought of that. Hopefully, once it's over and other things in the world become more stable, we can enjoy higher sales again. My merchandise is vintage jewelry, so the business is good only when times are good, and people feel comfortable spending their discretionary income.

I agree! Would be interesting to know if eBay has made any changes to their algorithms on their Cassini system.

Thanks for the response. Seems like they would do something (alternating SEO for everyone?) to help out the sellers that have been with them for a long time and are now suffering from low or no sales.

Thank you for your response. It IS pretty frustrating when you've done everything you're supposed to do -- offer a money-back guarantee, offer 1 or same day handling time, have great pictures (bright, sharp, etc.) a clear-cut description, great reviews, all item specifics filled out, etc. -- and you still get low sales! That's when you look to external factors and that's the basis of my original question.
