Losing yet another seller. (Handclaps)

I’ve finally reached my breaking point. If u go to my Dec 13th sales u will see multiple toy lot transactions. I started them at $0.99 and whatever they sold for they shipped for, once paid. My only stipulation was that it be paid within an hour. (I’m very tired of non paying bidders who outbid paying bidders n having to wait 6-7 days to relist ) I was trying to give back and help people get Hot Toys for great prices. Everyone but one followed my rules and paid and they everyone got shipped (at a loss to me, no biggie again just wanted to help) After I did exactly what my listing stated, eBay is allowing a person who has bought 7 things in 5 yrs tarnish my feedback and CS reputation. Lololololol, I’ve paid almost $200 in fees in the past month between all my stores. This place has become a bad joke to those of us who took it seriously. Ebay is quick to say, “we’re just advertisers” yet are the first ones to automatically add Best Offers to ALL of our listings if they see fit. So which is it? Are u sellers or advertisers cuz u can’t be both. Once these listings fall off naturally I’m out of here. Good Luck to all..... Ur gonna need it.

Tunic, thank you for responding to my post, and your explanations re the shipping charges. My objection to bringing up the shipping charges being brought into the mix was two-fold. But not to carry on with that I did peruse his items both current and sold, and the ones that were sold with the high shipping charges were not negged by the buyers, so I would assume that they felt the charges added to what their purchase price was, was well worth it. I’m long past buying such merchandise - I’m in the category where cars and jets are expected. Listings that he still has up seem to have “regular” shipping charges. Still in all, I understand why some posters brought those charges into play even though I thought it was not the issue. And I do understand that most have given very valuable information regarding eBay rules.

Helpful posts or not, nobody likes misplaced pity collectors. Or braggers who have no leg to stand on. Don't come crying that you were trying to do a charitable deed when you charge those shipping prices, and there was obviously no loss as he says. And his 1 hour payment rule was bound to get buyers angry and is against ebay policy.

If you lie about one thing in your post, people wont believe anything you say! OP did that big time.

“PLEASE READ:If you have less than 10 feedback you need to contact me before bidding. I will not allow the price to be unfairly inflated for actual paying bidders. 0 feedback bidders most definitely included. I understand we all need to start somewhere. No contact will get your bid cancelled and you blocked. I’m serious. That said, The payment is due immediately after the auction ends. I will give u a 1 hr window. If it is not paid by then it will go to the next highest bidder or be relisted. NO EXCEPTIONS. Your bid will be cancelled. By bidding on this lot you agree to these terms. I will ship Internationally through EBays Global Shipping Program Only. This lot is very heavy to ship. If you opt for local pickup I will only take cash. If you pay here I will cancel the order. Ebay gets their fees regardless. No Reserve
On Dec-17-17 at 21:18:55 PST, seller added the following information:
I AM TIRED OF THE BAFFOONERY ON HERE WITH EBAY CONGRATULATING BAD BUYER BEHAVIOR. IF U SEE SOMETHING YOU WANT GET IT NOW. NOTHING IS BEING RELISTED. I AM LEAVING EBAY. WHATEVER THE PAID WINNING BID IS, IS WHAT IT WILL SHIP FOR. READ!”

Those terms are unreasonable & against policy.

I would run with the wind if I saw this in a listing. Aggressive & unreasonable.

I hope he was serious about leaving ebay. This embarrasses all the rest of us sellers who work hard.

And, my personal mileage varies, as well.  Though only since I stopped selling on ebay.  I had wonderful clients and great experiences selling antiques and collectibles on ebay - though I always sold books on a 'book' site.

Then, paypal became mandatory, disruptive innovation became the rallying cry, other 'features', 'improvements' and 'Great News For Sellers' that never seemed to be - those were the final straws for me.  We all have our limits as to when to cut our losses and move on.

This started as a hobby and had become a pain in my rear. I own businesses outside of here and sell on other platforms. They will miss my money before I miss them, believe that!

The only entity at eBay that will be aware of your absence has a multi-core CPU and runs on A/C power. Those sales that used to be yours will just go to another seller.

It’s funny and sad that some sellers think they have an impact on eBay’s bottom line.

Funny about that line of thinking... when businesses fail, it's usually because the owner couldn't be bothered with keeping track of small expenses. A little bit here, a little bit there... it adds up faster than one notices. Perhaps eBay should start paying attention to such small losses as well.

Do you think they are smart enough?

Do you mean you have left ebay but still like to participate on this board?

I consider myself as being on sabatical until ebay takes a course that doesn't conflict with my ethics and retains employees that have the good of the whole - not merely their pocketbook - in mind.

However, ebay says that I am welcome, me and my 5 accounts - welcome to buy here, also - and, so I still search for things.  I've not found anything that wasn't fake or a repro in the areas that I search, for some time now, so I've not bought anything of late.

Are we assuming that most of your sales have gone through wonderfully and that this yukky buyer has influenced you to quit. I would never let that stop me.
